CAlled, lots of background noise, seemed to say my name but not sure

Caller has a list with homeowner names. They try to state that they are calling you back (in this case calling me back). We did not contact them. It is a scam approach to getting past the do not call list. If they state they are calling you back then it appears you have prior business with them. I believe they use multiple phone #s in order to try not to call back from the same one when you tell them not to call back.

They want to sell home improvement labor services. I informed the guy (this time more polite than ones in the past). That we did not contact them and did not want their services. I also informed him we have no future business.

When talking to people that use this scam approach I recomend you state that you did not have any business and as of this point forward we absolutely have no business to engage in. The solicitor can contact you if they already established a business relationship. By informing them there is no business relationship prior or for the future they may no longer use that excuse to hide behind.

In this case the guy politely volunteered to remove our #. We will see how it goes.

Person identified himself as John; could hear people talking in background and heard click as if someone joined to listen to conversation.  John indicated he had called a few months ago about home repairs and I asked for him to call back.  He is in neighborhood on Wendy Drive and would like to come out. I told him I remember his call and I told him to put me on do not call list.  He said how could I do that when I told him to call me back.  I told him to put me on the list.  He said why should he do that and I said it's the law!  He then said OK I'll call you back tomorrow and he hung up.

This is the most abrasive call I've gotten yet.

I check records he did call 3/25/12:  
Will have people by our home on Wendy Drive to give estimates.  Says a person came by last week and I had expressed an interest. I told him I had told him I wasn't interested (No one had been by.)  I asked to be put on do not call list.

I called the number back and got a recording that I had reached the Seal Beach Naval Weapons Station  and this was a nonoperating number!

Called today 4/16/2012  background noise, said Hello then hung up.

Nasty telemarketer. When I said, "what did he need, because I was in a hurry," he hung up as he screarmed, "I don't Need NOTHIN'"

Someone needs to take this number away from these people

had a 626 area code, on call log was "Indonesia". called and then hung up, put on Mr. Number call block, love it, doesn't ring, picks up and hangs up, best invention ever.

Some stupid girl called,same B.S. about calling people in the neighborhood...you have just been reported to the FCC...for all who do not believe in reporting to the FCC you are wrong..Reporting works and these scum bags eventually stop calling and hopefully they get fined too.

The CallerID is spoofed - the number is disconnected.  Either do not answer, or block this number.

Scam Alert!!!!!!!  Wants you to believe they are a telemarketer, but they use a fake caller id.  Claims they work for "A Remodeling" company. Want to send people to give you quotes. My feeling is that this is their cover so they can case your house to see what valuables you have, then they come back & burglarize or rob you.  Stay away from companies that use fake caller id's.

Just got a call from this number at midnight. How's that for inconsiderate? I picked it up on the first ring and said 'hello'. No answer, so I hung up. What kind of telemarketer would call at midnight???

They just called me after midnight. No one was
On line and machine voice said goodbye

Got the same exact call at 11:44 pm tonight! Scary...as your first thought is that it is an emergency call. What the hell?

I reported this number as they just keep calling

Called at 10:25 p.m. tonight.  Answering machine answered and caller hung up right away.

We got a call from some guy saying he talked with us in Jan and that we agreed that he would do some work around our home...he even said "his guys" were on THERE WAY over here right now! Told him we weren't interested and he said "#$^%$^@$#, am going to have to call my guys back!!!". I hung up! He knew our address and my hubby's name...so he must have access to some kind of records...

called 12 am no answer.  pain in the ass!
