    I keep getting a text messages           metro2@mymetropcs.com/
saying "Alert: Your Emerald Card 511165XXX is frozen. Call 626 923-9672 for details". Of course I don't have an Emerald Card and I won't be calling.  I see others are getting the same message but for them to call a different number.

My text msg is from metro6@mymetropcs.com/

"Important: Your Emerald-Card Starting with 511165Is Frozen. Call 6269239672 For Details."

I typed this exactly as I received it which includes the numbers smushed in with the word "Is".

What if this is identity theft? I can't find a customer service number for Metro PCS where a live person answers the phone. Has anyone else gotten through?

Emerald Card from HR block?  Is this what they use to put your return on?  I would be worried and call H&R!  I don't trust them!

Notification: Your card Starting With 511165-IS Frozen.  Call 6269239672 For Details.

I got it and called as well.. also report the number to the FCC and call your local police department. (626) area Code is in California and they will no take reports by phone.

IT IS ID theift!! it is a recorded system asking you to input your card number, expiration date and PIN NUMBER .. of course I gave it fake info .. number that could NOT be valid (5111 1111 1111 1111), an expired date ..  and pin 0000

I suggest flooding them with fake info as well as .. SCREW WITH THEM FOR SCREWING WITH US!!

I received this text message today.  I have no idea who this group is, but someone should investigate them.  This is most likely a fraud attempt.

I got the same text but it was from next754@nexttel.net.  It said that Sercurity checking needed on card #xxxx.  I called the (626)923-9672 the recording said that they would need additional info.  I hung up. I do not own a credit card, my bank would notify me if it was my debit card.  The other person on my cell phone account recieved the same text.

On 1/24/11 at 8:41 pm I got this text from 289647800@hrblock.com saying, "We found a problem in your 511165 MCard. Call 1 626 923 9872!"  I called the number from my landline and tried to press zero till I got an operator and finally decided to do a Google search on the 626 #. I was shocked to find that I seem to have been targeted in this scam and wonder how they got my cell phone number.
