Received call this afternoon.  Man said there have been attempts to hack my computer.  Identified himself representing Microsoft.  Wanted to walk me thru identifying and fixing it on my computer.  Asked if my computer was on, wanted me to hit certain keys in lower left of keyboard.  After discussion back and forth because my keyboard did not have those keys, he put someone else on the line.  Both men had what sounded like Asian Indian or similar accent.  I could hear in the background a lot of talking like a call center.  After some a bit, he asked if I had a Mac.  I asked where he was calling from, he said Dallas Texas.  I asked if there was a number I could call him back, he hung up.  Later, I tried a couple reverse phone searches and results showed not a valid number.  Area code seems to be San Francisco, CA.  Appears to be a hacking scam to me.

This after noon 3/26/2015. I got phone call from 1-628 158-9639 California (show on caller ID) He said call from TAX Department.His accent very heavy (sounded like Indian) I knew he is a hacker. I cuss from top to bottom name on the books and he hung up.

I have received several calls from this number and I had asked to be removed from their calling list but they just keep calling and yesterday took the cake! I asked for a supervisor and they transferred me to yet another person with a heavy accent, like Iran or the like, and he got snotty with me and told me to "shut up and slow down and listen" and he could explain that my computer had sent an error message to Microsoft and they were doing me a service by calling me to fix it! I would have slapped him if he had been standing in front of me. Anyway I told him I think this is a scam and I wanted a number to call Microsoft directly and he starts in on the let me walk you through fixing your computer! There is nothing wrong with my computer! I got fed up and told him where to go and hung up. I am thinking they will call back anyway...idiots.

Stupid call from (628) 158-9639 . No response so I hung up. They called again and again. Still no response.

hackers.i know the process I was taught it in school. they have you bring up the run menu  so you can type in a code which then causes them to gain access to your computer then they lock it with a virus and hold it hostage. its a sad basic hack. they should really try harder and come up with some thing a 5 year old couldn't do. the morons.
