second # bout with this kind of scam, first it was my sister-in-law, now another family member.  They seem to know family names and relationships.  they threaten admission of guilt if you don't respond to their (poorly recorded) voice mail.  This message was from 630-273-7346  caller id registered Plano, IL, from a Christopher Perry from Beier, Hill, Tomlin & assoc wanting to know the where abouts of a family member.they have called several people.

I received a call from 630-273-7346 a Stanley Thomas about a legal matter stating concerning me. If I did not call back it would concidered an admission of guilt against me. Tried to call back the number and it just went into a voicemail loop until saying incoming calls are block by the administrator and hung up. I sure this is just another scam, this has happened to me a few times now. They've contacted my family and threatened my sister that if she didn't give my social security number she could be held liable for it. Thankfully she did not know it. They are harassing me and my family. The last time I told them to send me the court papers can't wait to see them in court. Of course they  never showed up. Now can't even talk to a person just a machine calling.

I got a call from these folks today, making the same threats as Kelly says. It was left on my answering machine, but they did not leave a call back number.  Total scam.

If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money,  tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  You might have to yell at the scammer and talk over him or her.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

its a scam. they knew old information, but not updated/current.  This scammer was Shaun Thomas, of the Alliance Group.   He called my mother, sister and step mom, all wanting the same info, trying to scare them into telling him more updated info on me.  As with any debt collector that calls, do NOT tell them anything. oh, and make sure your number is on the National  Do Not call registry.
