Received call from this number.  I let the machine answer it..  I heard silence and then disconnect.

Caller ID = SSI  -  anybody know who they are?

You are nit alone.  We have gotten calls for 3 days in a row now from this number.  No message left.  I won't answer unless I know the caller because of so many solicitors.  

2x today. No message left.

This number has shown up two nights in a row, always calling later in the evening (between 7-8 p.m.).  Whomever it is obviously doesn't realize that an answering machine has picked up, and they start speaking as if someone (a live person!) has actually answered the phone (it is difficult to understand their accent, however, and the partial messages recorded by the machine are unintelligible!).  Then, once they realize that no one is replying, they just hang up without leaving a message, which I find to be extremely rude and unprofessional (*IF* it is a legitimate business attempting to reach customers, they need to teach their employees telephone etiquette!).  Since I NEVER answer any calls that I do not recognize, they will NEVER get MY business, especially when they do not leave a message, and/or a reason/purpose for the call!

The letters "SSI" are typically associated with an assistance program through the Social Security Administration.  However, in this case, it could probably be the abbreviation for almost anything, or any company?  On my Caller ID, this number just shows up as "Aurora, IL", so not sure if it is legitimate or not?

Called once and I didn't answer and they left no message. 2nd time I answered and she mumbled something about a survey and I said not interested remove me from your list. 3rd time I couldn't take it and said this was the 3rd time and she replied w my opinion is very important and continued to try and keep talking

Just got this call right at 9 PM. I wouldn't even let them talk. I yelled at them because I had just gotten my 16 month old to sleep. So angry!

Just now received a call from this number; Caller ID only identified the phone number, but no name or company.  I answered "Hello?" and could hear someone on the other line (background noise), but no response.  A human being has only two seconds to respond to me before I hang up on them (a robo-call is an immediate hang-up).  I won't be picking up the phone for that caller again.

This is from SurveySampling.com. Opt out number is 1-866-360-9563. Suggest we call it 24/7 as they are calling my cell phone, which is illegal!!

These are real A**holes!!! When you call the number to opt out, you are asked for a passcode. Then you are told passcode (WHAT PASSCODE) is invalid! Real scum!!!

This number belongs to a company called Survey Sampling International.  They are a Marketing Company or so they say.  I get multiple calls every single day from this relentless company.  Half the time there is no one on the other end.  They other times someone asks for  my daughter by name.  I inform them that she no longer lives at this address and can I take a message and they say that's okay.  I ask to be removed from the call list.  And they agree.  An hour later, the calls come again. It is so irritating.  I am on the Do Not Call Registry.  I file a complaint every time they call.  I have emailed the company, Facebook messaged them, tweeted them to stop and nothing.  NOTHING.  The calls keep coming!!!!

Finally last night a fella (foreign speaking) told me the name.  I also called the number and they claim to have a web page.I told them I was on the do not call list for future calls.

Well I've heard of this SSI but I DON'T want any BS calls. This was on 12/16/14 @ 4 PM CT on a Landline. Gotta get that *60 out again. GRR.

Suddenly in the last couple days, I have had several calls at various times from SSI @ 630-423-5613. I live in 630 but the number isn't familiar so I don't answer. I am forever thankful that I have a caller ID for each phone and I rarely even turn my cell phone on. And now there is an election coming up. So much for the Do Not Call Registry....I guess if they put any kind of identification on their outgoing call it gets past the registry. But we know they can make it say almost anything. Once I even got a call where the caller ID showed MY NAME and MY PHONE NUMBER. Impossible and frustrating!

Survey's do not fall under the DNC unless they are trying to sell you goods or services.  They are exempt as a ROT, along with political calls and Charity.

Keep in mind that if they do not place you on their internal DNC list, they can still get into trouble. As a rule, survey's are exempt from the DNC though. Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or under.

Caller stated they were not selling anything but doing a consumer survey for health products in my area. Also stated they were not gathering any personal information for sale.  Then proceeded to ask me to quantify my age, and I declined to provide it...and that stopped the questions.  Seems to me these folks have called before using different numbers from different states.
