They acquire/buy old debts, so make sure you check the debt statues of limitations in your state, just in case the debt has passed the limit and you can no longer be contacted but they are still doing so while it being against the law. Yeah, low life collectors who know they don't stand a chance getting anything from anybody who has any sense. They also use 630 657-0276 and 630 657-0282.

Called me about a debt that was already settled over 9 years ago. Not only is it past the statute of limitation for this state, it is a settled debt. Told me they had an affiliated and if I refused to pay off the debt would have me arrested. So pretty much a company trying to scare people that do not know the basic laws.

1. Debts that are marked as settled, are just that settled. No one came come back at you for an outstanding balance. The outstanding balance from the agreed settlement price is written off by the creditor.

2. A creditor or a debt collector, acting for the creditor, is not able to have anyone arrested or even an arrest warrant issued. Only law enforcement agency are able to do this. If a creditor or debt collector tells you they are going to have you arrested or have an arrest warrant issued, notify your local law enforcement agency.

Know your rights and know your responsibilities as a consumer.

There must be away to sue these people for harrassment!  Im sick of these phones calls

***A company must be licensed in their state as well as the one they are trying to collect in if two different states are involved.

Some Tips:
*Keep all messages
*Take a picture of your Caller ID
*Keep any and all conversations recorded to your states recording laws, some require they be told, others do not. This can be transferred to a recording device.
*Keep a notebook handy for writing time,date, who you spoke with and what the conversation detailed.
*Check your SOL for your state as well.
*Attorneys need to be licensed as a DC to collect, all DC's must be licensed in their state as well as yours if different.
