Just got another call from this number.  It's popping up regularly...

I keep getting calls from numbers like this. Today I've been approved for a new flat screen or a laptop. Righttt.

I just got a call saying it's IRS. Smh. Then same number calling saying I got a 20 dollar gift card.

What really irks me is they call with these scams on my cell phone which means this comes out of my air time if I happen to pick up.

Calls to my cell phone, left no message.

Every day. I get more calls from these [***] than my friends.

can someone please stop them!?

Best policy - don't answer if you don't know the number - only way to stop it.

Call business line daily.

Call me every day around the same time, but do not leave a VM.  I once think they left me a VM saying it is the IRS....

Holy [***], this number calls at least 5 times a day from 8am to 10pm!!!!!Always left a VM like winning a $20 giftcard...who the [***] is going to believe that...

They keep calling and they hang up as soon as I answer.  When I call them back they say it's for a Wal-Mart gift card and to press 1 to speak to a representative.  I pressed 1 so I could speak to someone to get on their do not call list and I got ANOTHER recording saying they just have to verify that I have a credit card.  When I pressed 0 to try to get an operator, a voice said "Goodbye," and disconnected me.

...or are the vast majority of these posts completely pointless? I guess it seems more like whining than giving any information. It just seems really weird that people post things like, "They called and I didn't answer"; or that the poster begs the board to "Please make them stop!". Frequently I also see a post that addresses the board as if IT was the company that has been calling them. "STOP CALLING ME!!!!" It's all sort of funny, but annoying at the same time.

This number has been calling several times, while I was not present, and they do NOT leave voice mail messages. Doing an internet search, it is determined that is is originating from DOWNERS GROVE, IL., 60516. It seems like there are several telemarketing calls like that originate from that general area. The scams, frauds, stupidity, and goofiness is very prominent in this world, today. Most likely, those are some hucksters, making attempts at some of their gimmicks! The best thing is to NEVER answer them!
