calls a ton of times and the number cant be called

I received the same call from the same number last night at 4:00am.

I got the same call at 5am in the morning.  When I hung up it called again.  The automated phone call says, "Hello, this is eBay calling.  If you're expecting this call press 9."  The second time it asks me to press a different number but the same message otherwise.

Called at 1030pm no message or I.D. Tried to call but will not accept calls.
This is just what you can expect from the gov. They can get our cell #'s but we can't get theres.

It may be annoying but it really is ebay calling. I needed a password change but the email they were supposed to send me wasn't showing up immediately. So I gave them my number to call with the password info. If you got a call from that number and weren't expecting it, someone either didn't change their number on file with ebay (it's an option to call the number on file), or when they typed in the number they wanted ebay to call they made a typo (another option).

heck mine wasn't even a number. apparently whoever is doing this set up my yahoo messenger with phone in service just to call it. I woke up this morning with a service i never paid for and a call on it from this number apparently if they can't come up with a number they'll hack and email to create one they can call

I got the same thing happening. It called and called and then I pushed the number for "I am expecting this call" and it went silent. I hung up and no more calls. It even called me twice at the same time!!! As I was talking to it on one line I get a new voicemail from the same number that didn't say anything.

it's ebay calling to confirm who you are.

Call came at midnight, 7-13-09.  "Hello, this is E-bay.  If you're expecting this call, please press 5."  But maybe it was "9."  I tried to block it the way my phone company option informed me to do, but it wouldn't block.

It just called me and said if I was expecting this call to press 6.  I tried to wait for an option that said another number to press if I wasn't expecting but it just said again if I was expecting this call to press 6.  I hung up then.

This number it's a verification call send by Ebay when your account has not being used for a long time and it's been reactivated again. It will give you a pin number that you will enter in the website to set up a new password. If the person didn't change the phone number on record and happens to be your new number it will ring on your phone.

This is Ebay calling, in order to give you a PIN to reset your password to your Ebay account in case of lost or unusuable e-mail.  If you didn't call and request the PIN or to reset your password, either:  1) Someone else may be trying to use your Ebay account or 2) A phone number was incorrectly entered.

There is nothing wrong with this phone number.
If you're having some problems with your ebay account,or if you're trying to change your password,you have to confirm that you're the owner of that account,just for protection,anti-fraud.
So..eBay automated anti-fraud machine with this number calling you and telling you special password,you've to enter it online in order to make changes on your eBay account.
Sometimes people are making mistakes and typing wrong phone numbers,so somebody else is receiving that call.That's why robot will always ask you "If you expecting this phone call,press #7 to continue".

I got this call at 2:19 am - saying "if you were expecting a call from ebaqy, press 5".  I promptly hung up.

called at 3:05am twice in a row "if you are expecting a call from ebay press8 the 2nd call said press9

It is an eBay verification! You need to go to eBay and report that someone is trying to access your account.

Some one trying to guess or change your password, you should go log in and change it for a very strong one.

Yes, got automated call from Ebay. I think someone must be trying to hack my account, so kind of thankful Ebay has set up this system to verify with your phone # on record.

I got a call @ 1:11 a.m. I don't know about you but I don't have a eBay account and I didn't ask them to call me. It's against the law to call after 5 PM!!!!!! I'm fixing to jump on somebodys BUTT!!!!!!!!
