It's that nasty PNR Recovery scam operation.  Wish the police would go in there and put a stop to this BS once and for all.

Keep receiving calls from this number.  They never leave a message and when you call back they never say the name of the company, but want information like the phone number that I received tha call on, I never give it to them, if they were a legit company and/or I owed money it would be to their benefit to leave a message and moreso to know who I am.

A man named Richard West stated it was "imperative" that I return the call left a case# and stated that I was a person if interest (as if I was a criminal), cannot imagine what it is they want and when you call back either no answer of no one ever states the name of the company or what they do.

Annoying calls from Richard West stating there is case against me. He gave a case# and advised me to call asap. Will never leave information or give me any information and wants me to give him information. Something needs to be done very nasty.

Rick West from PRN told me to call back at 631-225-4811 and said he had a serious case involving me left his case number...Didn't call back

I received a call from Richard West today, the number he called from was 717-303-9182.  I didn't answer, he did leave a message with the 631-225-4811 number, a case number and said I needed to call.

Had a family emergency and did not go to work on Friday.  When I returned on Monday, I had 4 calls from a Rick West from PRA referencing a case number saying it was imperative that I call him regarding an issue with myself. He not only called my direct line, but that of other co-workers stating the same message!!! I will not return the call or give any information out.  And who is he to call my place of employment.

I receive calls fro Rick West from PRA concerning a very serious issue concerning me for the past 4 days in a row, Feb 13 - 16, 2012,  at the same time from New York from Number 631-465-0418 & 631-465-0417 . Clearly, the intent of the script is to create fear and then for me to call him back. The script is the same each day. OO - they have a case number for me  56141 - this must be legit. Right?
My nose is clean, My fico is 785 so credit is perfect, my former spouse is in England... all is well.
This has got to be a bulligerant Scam. I am not responding to the message.

Got a call from Rick West he wanted to get some personal information regarding my checking accounts. This is a SCAM! He gave me a case number and said this is a urgent message.

we got a call from PRA, today March 21, 2012, but the name was Brian Booker, that there was a dire need of importance that my hub get back to him before the end of the day. we don't usually get calls like that , so the hub called back and got a voice mail, left his cell phone and home phone number on the voice mail. he didn't leave a case number, i wish i had seen this first or he wouldn't have left our numbers on the voice mail. now he is upset.

Just got a message from Brian Booker (scary). I told him to send me literature and when he proceeded to be nasty I said do what you  need to do and he hung up on me. SO Glad I saw these posts I will never return a call or respond to him.
Ugh the world is full of scammers its scary and so so sad.

I also got a phone call from  Brian Booker and wanted to know if he ever call you back after hanging up on you or has he send any paper work.

Received a call yesterday (he had to leave a voicemail for me) from a man named Brian Booker saying he was with PRA and that I was to call him about a very serious matter.  He gave a case number.  The number came in as 631-465-0418 but he asked me to call 631-225-4811.   I did not call either number and had the numbers blocked.

Message on answering machine saying it was imperative that I call Rick West at 631-225-4811 about a serious issue regarding myself.  Unfortunately, I called, got someone named Brian and found that they are trying to collect a fictional $5,000.00 loan on some credit card that I never heard of.  When I refused to give personal information I was suddenly disconnected.  Obviously a scam!

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.

If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:
Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.

Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.

Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft – charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.

Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate – but you think the collector may not be – contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.

Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.>
