Show Local Ranking on caller ID.  Robo call for merchant services.  Press 9 to remove your number.  Called 3 times last week and I hit 9 to be removed the first two times.  The third time I pressed the 1 and got a rep.  Asked who his company was and he said "Merchant Services."  Told him I had opted out twice and asked why they were still calling.  He apologized and said he would take care of it immediately.

I have received 2 calls this week and both times they hung up.

I made sure to wait till the end of the call to press the correct button to opt out of future calls; then received the same robo call again today.  This time I pressed "1" to get a supervisor to talk to.  "Johnathan" said he was a supervisor, but promptly hung up on me when I explained why I was calling.  I dialed the number back and only got the choice of pressing "9" to be taken off the call list.  We'll see....

Still calling every other day.  I have twice talked to somebody.  Occasionally hangs up if I don't speak like it did again today.

I have tried everything. They are gearing it to my specific busuiness and I'm just tired of it! I get at least 3-4 daily. This is taking time away from my clients and I've had it. I will be going higher to get my number off their list.

Got a call from this number, but I didn't answer it.  They left a message about helping with a government student loan forgiveness program.

I have received 2 calls from this number. The first was not answered because I was not able to do so. The second call I answered. When giving my greeting, it activated a bot, that blathered on about consolidating student loan debt. I went through the "press this" and "press that" to have contact with a real person.

When someone answered, I asked to speak to a Manager on Duty. I was asked what the call was for, and I responded with "Simply tell the Manager on Duty I wish to speak with them!" I was told I'd be put right through, and placed on hold.

7 minutes later, a recorded voice broke the silence and said "Good-bye!" The line was then disconnected. Clearly a phone scam.

This number called my house and I answered it and it hung up on me.

Called and left message saying it was for people who were having problems paying their student loans and to apply for a government debt forgiveness program.

Pre-recorded call to cell phone on DNC. Call was regarding "student loan forgiveness". Gave name of company as "Student Loan Forgiveness" but also provided a call-back number of 855-828-9655. This number belongs to https://studentdebtdoctor.org/. As with many others, they try to get your username/password or enough personal information in order to access your account on a government web site http://nslds.ed.gov. They simply say they are going to look up your information, but do not tell you they are accessing/creating a personal account for you on a government web site.

They've only been in business for about 2-1/2 years, having first filed in Jan 2014.

Make sure you file a complaint with the FTC.

Note at the bottom the web site login page is this statement:

In my opinion, anyone access this web site using your information/credentials without explicitly explaining what they are doing (and "We are looking up your loan information" isn't enough) is in violation of this Title.

I did not answer the call. These people are unruly and stating that they are with students Forgiveness loan Servicing. Why can't the government step in and do something.

Download this app, it's called Mr Number it will block these calls from getting through if you aren't on the phone speaking to someone.  The calls are marked as spam so the best they can do is leave voice-mail which 99% of them won't do.
I'm always getting calls about my student loans I chose to delete because if I have a problem I contact my servicer for help. Nothing is free.
