Has anyone had a call from this number stating that you are being sued by the IRS ?

I got a call also saying IRS to sue and I call or show up for court. I noticed a couple of other calls around the country same thing so i'm on some list...

Got the same call.  Called back.  Told them I know the IRS contacts via USPS Mail service and never a phone call and they hung up immediately.

Someone said the IRS is trying to sue me.

Same thing - IRS is very mad and wants to arrest me for five years. The rep identified himself and tried to sound very convincing. The more I pressed him, the more anxious he seemed to assure me the cops were on the way and hung up.... No cops....This is a scare tactic and the number should be reported to the proper authorities and shut down. They are vultures fishing for an easy meal. I checked all the numbers for the IRS in New York to be sure and the 631 343 3870 number is not listed for any offices.

IRS is sending cops to arrest me for tax evasion/fraud. Ask if I need a lawyer. Hung up when I ask him what social was on file.

Another irs scam

Called and said I owe from the last 5 years of fraudulent tax returns. When I pressed him, he told me to go "XXXX" myself.... WOW!!!!

Yes, very harassing very scary. If I did not know any better that would have had me going.......They had some info on me but not all. I am on a payment plan paying taxes for a couple previous years and yes, this was a little nerve wracking. They stated the police will come to my door now and hung up. Scary. Please hope that unsuspecting peeps do not fall for this.

Has left 2 messages now stating that I owe money to the IRS. I called back because I was curious because I knew I owed nothing and person from another country answered and could hardly hear him. He answered IRS. Oh please such a scam and blocked number.

Same old IRS scam threatened legal action, etc.  Total fraud.

Yes, I had the same call. I'm praying it's a prank call / scam.

Rob, rest assured it is a scam. The IRS will send you mail, not call and threaten you. Just block and ignore these calls.

Mine is the same story as everyone else.  He was going through his unprofessional scare tactic (which the IRS wouldn't do) and then said that I WILL be going to prison for five years.  Since the IRS sues (a civil suit) and a civil suit can't sentence you to prison, in addition to no trial has been held to sentence me to prison.  I started laughing at him.  I then told him that they aren't doing a very good job at this scam.  He said this isn't a scam.  I said, "Thank you" and hung up on him.

it is a prank IRS does not call, and these IDIOTS when you call them do not even know whom they are calling but ask you your information, excuse me they called us they should sure know whom they are calling , at least a name what idiots.

Same story.  Automated message from the "IRS" stated that I'm being sued.  I know it's a fraud, but thought I'd just post for others.  I used to work for a leading public accounting firm and can attest that this is not how the IRS works.

Been getting this call from multiple numbers.  Just block them and move in

Got a call from 631-343-3870 these knuckle dragger thinks people are stupid! Some shady message about the IRS...nice try. For the record the IRS doesn't call you with some shady message and a bogus number. You would think the REAL IRS would use their super duper powers and located these nuts and take them down. Or at the very least make them pay their unreported taxes from their ill gotten bootie.
