Telemarketing scam phone call. What a sad world we live in when I don't even answer my phone anymore due to @ssholes like this calling me all day long and never leaving a message, and when I research the phone number, it DOESNT exist! What type of dumb@[***] fool thinks that I would do business with an obvious scammer? Get a life

Robo call claiming to be from "Your Local Google Representative" - Press "1" to get connected. Live person picks up phone and asks for your name. I stop him right there, and ask what is his company's name .... "Internet Global marketing" is th4e response. When I tell him to stop calling me, his response "There are other companies also calling". Could not find anything on "Internet Global marketing" .... seems the robo calls are on behalf of different Telemarketers.

I have added this number to my 'Blocked List', but they call from a different number, everyday. Don't know how to stop this.

All of them are automated Google bots.  There aughtta be a law!

Our work line goes through an automated attendant, by the time a live person has picked up on the first actual ring all we hear is (( press 1 to be removed)). At this point I hang up but we get this call 1 to 2 times a day.

There should be a Call Type listing that simply says IRRITATING AND PERSISTANT.
I would definitely classify this group as that!!

I've saved this number to my caller ID as scam so if they call again I'll know to ignore it.

These calls are not from Google... they are from fly by night outfits that claim they can do SEO (search engine optimization) on your website and get it ranked higher... they can't. All of these SEO fixes no longer work as Google and Bing penalize websites that utilize these SEO techniques. They may get your site ranked higher for a few days and then your site will end up in the Google penalty box and no one will find you in Google search at all.

If you block the 212 area code you a blocking the whole of Manhattan. Just because one number comes from this area code does not mean all numbers in that range are owned by scammers. Plus with call spoofing you can make it look like you are calling from any number you want.

There is a law but scam artist, thieves and criminals have a nasty habit of ignoring the law.

Although I might not block certain area codes, I do believe everyone is entitled to take any step they find necessary.

Based on past experience I have learned that this option can actually increase the number of calls received.

These calls are scams and are NOT from Google in any manner. I have friends in some of the area codes mentioned, so blocking them would only harm me. The call I just received from 631-343-5532 had a caller ID that said "Local". What a joke. 631 is for eastern Long Island NY and I don't live there. I just let it ring and added the number to my blocked list.

I have been reading some of the other posts with respect to these "scam" calls and believe that blocking a complete area code is not a good idea, especially if you have friends or clients at such numbers.  There is a much simpler method I have been using for years, the only requirement is that you must invest a few dollars each month to have caller ID.  You will then note that NO scammer EVER has their name listed with the idea.  The number will only be listed and/or the city and state. I immediately block these numbers using a phone computer program (there are several available, you must search on ebay or amazon.com).  In all the years I have implemented this program, I have not had any problems and no longer answer my phone except when the software informs me I have an "accepted caller".  Respectfully,  Dr K

701 is a North Dakota area code, so basically if I blocked all the calls from that area code, I wouldn't talk to my friends or family...

Daily number shows up. No message. Not answering. Company name not list in Caller ID.

Just got a hangup call at the office.  Didn't answer because I did not recognize the number.  Thanks for the info!

I get a call from area code 631 just about every other day with a recorded message saying I have been "honored"
with receiving a loan.  I never listen to the end of the message but next time I will so I can call the number
and speak to someone.  Not that it will do any good but I will at least feel some satisfaction in responding to them
in a very "annoying" manner for all the time and money they are wasting me.  I don't have unlimited minutes on my
cell phone so have to pay for each time they call.  I put them on my blocked list but they always call back with the
same message but different number. :-(  So far, I have about 10 of these numbers.  Some are now disconnected.
I wonder how many people actually fall for this to make it so successful that they keep getting more phone numbers
and continue.

This stupid telemarketer are annoying his dumb telemarketing want my information and money. So just shut up dude.
