I never answer calls anymore I do not know. I am getting so many crappy spam calls in the last year. What happened to the DNC list. It is like it does not even matter anymore.
On the answering machine it was just all static bad connection noises. I blocked yet another bogus call.

Good for you, Mike. I have been suggesting that people stop answering unknown numbers for years. It never helps the 'spam/scam' situation to talk to any of these people. If they weren't successful at what they are doing, they would have disappeared long ago...moved on to a better scam.
The DNC list IS a joke. I can deal well with spam emails by reporting them to Spamcop.net. Too bad there is no equivalent for these phone calls.
Maybe some day...

I ran out of space for blocked numbers.  Now I try to hook the phone up to a fax line to send the caller a screech sound or else simply press the # key and let it beep in their ear.  Tired of these people raping my time and just mess with them depending on my mood.  DNC:  another half-baked government promise.

Sometimes my frustration reaches a point I simply hook the phone up to a fax line.  Maybe they get the idea it's a non-human line.  Whatever, it gives me a slight charge that they get a screech in their ear for their trouble.  Legit numbers:  I can always call back.

Hang up on these calls on 2nd ring, then block them. Goggle the number on all calls I don't know, this website is the best about finding out spammers.

Similar to a couple of this previous post, it was a man with an Indian accent wanting to sell some type of prescription drugs. There have been similar calls made to me with different calling numbers, asking the same thing, to buy prescription drugs. I block every single number, but they seem to always make new numbers and call me again. Be careful and warn others!

This is a big problem on my cell phone.
If the number you use answers their dialer it counts as a connection for them. If you talk to them it never stops.
I have had some very fun times interacting... I hope they are being paid well for the abuse they take..

So tired of receiving calls to sell me drugs from 631-417-1455.  Always seem to call around dinner time.  It is so annoying and I certainly wouldn't buy the drugs!  They need to stop!

For Android/Apple cell phones download an app called MrNumber. You can add numbers to the blocked list and either hang up on them or send straight to voicemail.

Was not home to answe this call. Looked it up on google "Babylon NY".
