I received a voice mail from Joanna, from 21st Century that we won a prize from a bridal show, and to call 631-271-2025.  I don't remember entering a contest???  I returned the call but the phone just rings, no one answers...not even a machine.

I got a few missed calls from 631-470-7338 and didn't pick up. I called back and no one was there.  I found this website and now I'm glad I ignored the call.  I did actually attend a bridal expo in Chicago last weekend. I'm disappointed that my information got out like this. I would think that Brides.com (hosted the expo) would make sure our information was kept private.

I recieved a call from Joanna saying that I won a 3 day 2 night vacation to 15 different places we get to choose from also she mentioned we won $500 gift certificate and that we just have to go to the Ramada Hotel in  Burbank and speak with Charlie and gave me an authorization number to claim our gifts. I'm so glad I looked at this website 1st!!!! It's a total SCAM!!!!! Don't go!!

I just recieved a call also from Joann. I checked here first and see that it is an attempt to sell. What was interesting is that she said my name was selected from a raffle or something like that. I planned to attend the Bridal show but missed it due to the weather. Icouldn't have entered a raffle that day because I wasn't there. Don't we have enough to do planning a wedding than to be bothered by nuttiness like this :-|

I recieved a call today that had sad i had won a vacation... but when they called i said i wasn't here but i could take a message...she gave me the phone number 631-271-2025 ext 1331 and told me that Vanessa and her fiance had won a trip thru some bridal drawing and we had to call them back immediately so that we didn't lose our vacation. They said they would be in Erie on friday eveing at the Marion Hotel Courtyard that we had to go there to claim our prize. I called my best friend who is going to be my maid of honor to see if she entered me into a contest becuase i knew that i hadn't and she told me no the only things she entered me for was the free dresses thru David's Bridal and a local website Itheewebsite.com Then i went to yellow pages and put in the number and it show up 21st century or something and i tried to look up a website and put in the number on google and found this! I can definately say that there is no way that i am going to attend!! SOUNDS LIKE A SCAM TO ME!! Thank you to everyone who posted! You just saved me the hassle!!

Actually after reading Vanessa's post I'm starting to think David's Bridal is selling their phones numbers to anyone who wants them. I have attened a few bridal shows but I don't register with my real telephone number, I only give that to vendors that I might do business with. I did give my phone number to David's Bridal as the dress I was thinking about was out of stock and they would call when it came back in. After that I have received a few odd, unprofessional offers for wedding services (like a limo service that doesn't have a company name and speaks broken english) along with their legitimate "partner" crap.
I also received a called from Joanna at this number but she did not speak really well on the voicemail so I'm not sure the company name, probably RP Brides or RB Bridal? Said I had to call back right away to claim the prize. They are either selling time-share or other demonstration products so it's not so much a scam as a promotional technique for the gullible. We've done these before and sat through the time-share spiel for a free vacation, but it's not worth our time right now so I did not call back and they seem to be leaving me alone.

I too just got a call from Joanna who claims my name was picked from a drawing. She sounded like a "fast talker" on the message and no one or even a  machine picked up at the number. If you get a call, don't answer and don't bother calling back. Going forward I will use fake contact info at these bridal expo's I am being stalked by vendors daily.

I just got a call from Joanna to. I had to listen to the message 3 times to understand it because she was talking so fast. Supposedly she was calling from the prize center of RP Brides claiming that I won a bridal trip and that they have my gift on hold and that they are in the area handing them out, and I need to call to claim the prize. The number she told me to call back was 631-271-2025 and to ask for her at extension 4747. I think it is a bunch of nonsense. And I am super annoyed because I've only been to one bridal show, at the hall where I am having my wedding. I don't like that they are handing out my information. I'm using phony information from now on.

Boy, this fast-talking Joanna is busy!  She just called me too.  Same as all of the others. I supposedly won a trip and have to call back ASAP and ask for Joanna in the Bridal department.  I thought I would check it out first.  Here I am.

    Disappointed
I got the same call two nights ago and was planning on going to the hotel in plainview, ny tonight with my fiance to get the prizes! I felt uneasy about it but the thought of it being potentially legit made me agree on the phone to go. Now that it's the day I felt I should check it out more and realize that it's not worth our time. It's disappointing to think that they could be playing on emotions of us brides. We have so much to do and they know money is tight so offering things like free trips entice us. I dont know if the trip would work out since no one seems to have accepted it but I guess its not worth going after reading all of these entries. My girl was Joanna too and she said I won a prize from a drawing- I'm thinking it's also Davids Bridal. How surprising!! Thank you all for your warnings! T

ya i received a call and i let it go to my voice mail. When i checked it a minute later they told me i won a prize, so being the naive person that i am, i called the number back within a few minutes. This lady picked up and said that Arlene ( the lady that left the message on my phone is away for the day, however i just got her voice mail about a minute earlier.) The only place that I gave my information to was Davids Bridal, I think somehow they have sold and released my personal information to these phony telemarketers. I really think im going to call Davids Bridal headquarters in Conshohocken, PA. and see who they gave my information to.
