- psadidas| 2 repliesThis company has been calling my mother. I answered the call this time. The man said he was from a company that works with Medicare and wanted to update the information. I told him I wouldn't tell him anything until he told me the name of his company. He stated he wasn't allowed to give me the name. I mentioned medicare scam and he said how could it be a scam if he had all of the information. Told him if he had all of the information, why did he need information. He said it was a technical issue and the information got lost in the data base. Finally said he was from Citadel Medical Supplies. Bottom line, scam. They bill Medicare and send things like back braces, knee braces, etc.

makes sense that it would be a medicare scam, given the work i do, and the people i help. - MoodydebI've also gotten calls from this number and "Hamed Hussein". I answered, just to see who it was and to get info to pass on to the authorities. A man with a foreign accent wanted to speak to my husband. I replied that he was unavailable and offered to take a message. He then hung up. I'm in PA.

- SLeeIt is against the law for companies to call before 8:00am and after 9:00pm. You can sue them if they do. They called me at 7:55 am this morning. I am getting on the Consumer Protection website and see about how I go about sueing. I better do it fast. Because the Republicans said if they get the majority of the House and Senate in November, they will disband the Consumer Protection Agancy. Which means companies can call you at 2:00am with threatening and foul language, like they used to do.
- Caller: out of area
- markThey call before 7 a m , don't answer when you pick up and they don't leave a message. WTF

- RaymondI get calls from 1-631-480-2156 claiming to be from Medicare. When I ask why the call. The phones goes silent. Curious I call back the number and the message is the voice mail is full and no message will be recorded. This is a scam. Just think why would Medicare call when it can send you a letter/notice by mail? Do not answer call from this number. Do not provide any personal information.
This is a scam operation- Caller: Name of company not given

- MarciThis number showed up on our caller ID. Scammer must have gotten smarter after seeing all the above comments. Our ID says " Unknown name." OK. This answering machine is worth its weight in gold. To the folks who are pestered by early morning calls as I am, here's what I do: Turn the bedroom phone off, and set all the other phones on a quiet ring. The answering machine takes my messages for me, and the scammers never leave a message.( Funny how times have changed---we didn't have these annoying problems until maybe the last 20 years). Now I can sleep in peace. Until some idiot rings our doorbell early in the morning....
- nannylowMy scam came in 2 parts. First a lady tells me about money from the government to the tune of $8,400 and needs bank account info. I refused so she gave me a "claim" number and another phone number. She "was" in the east and the new number was from Washington state. A man answered said he was Oscar Walton and he could award my money all he needed was $225 and he would wait on the phone while it transferred and I went to get mine from the Western Union. Needless to say, I hung up.

- bigtexJust got a call at 1125AM today, Friday. Caller ID said AMITYVILLE NY. A live female with an Indian accent said that she was calling concerning my Medicare information and that their records show that I or a member of my household may suffer from back pain. Was that correct? I said no and she hung up.
Obviously a scam trying to sell bogus pain relief medication. I have gotten several robocalls lately from a recorded female voice saying that I may be eligible to receive a new topical pain reliever.
The mention of Medicare is obviously designed to get seniors to listen to their garbage spiel.- Caller: Pain Reliever Scam

- Ruby the horrifiedThey have been calling me at 6:00 am and talking all this crap. I have requested time and again to put me on their do not call list only to be called by them the following morning.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- guestThey said they were from Medicare, and "wanted to make sure I was getting all the medical equipment I was entitled to at no cost to me." I knew immediately it was a scam, Medicare doesn't solicit people to go deeper in debt, she had a thick foreign accent (call center in India, perhaps?), and call sounded very "echo-ey" like ithe connection was cheap or very, very far away.
I should have advised her to get a better job than ripping off the government and scamming seniors, but I took the high road, laughed, and said No, Thanks, and hung up.- Call type: Telemarketer
