Received a telephone cal, 9/22/14)l from this number stating the caller was from National Gas (NG).  Caller knew my name and stated that NG is the maintenance division of National Grid and they're calling to schedule an appointment to check the gas pipes leading to the furnace.  She further stated that the pipes are supposed to be checked every 18 months & they're records show it's been over 2 yrs. since mine have been checked out.  I specifically asked her if she is from National Grid and she said yes.  She wanted to come to home this week and could schedule a 2 hr. window.  Told here I would not be available until the week of Oct. 6, and she promptly hung up on me.  I then Called National Grid and was informed that National Gas is not affiliated with this company, and it's not one of their numbers.

Received call from 631 620 3489 stated the same message , when set appointment a chimmy company came...refused to let them in...they stated a volition was going to be sent out...called national grid..national gas has nothing to do with them.its a scam allway call your provider.

I  received the same call  Feb. 24,2015.This appears to be an  attempt for house burglary.

Caller falsely claims to represent National Grid, and wants to make an unauthorized heating system inspection. I expect it is for a home invasion.

Received a call from a woman who stated she was calling from National Grid, stated they needed 10 minutes to check the gas line and furnace because the lines are schedule to be checked every 18 months.  Said I was one of the last people in my block to get this service done and they have trucks in the area and needed finish my block.  Called National Grid and was informed NG do not check lines nor furnaces.  Said they were not affiliated with this company National Gas.  Called the telephone number 631-620-3488 and a recording came on and said this number is not in service.

Sounds like a utility flipper to me. It's the 'Can I see your bill?', followed by you've got a new service provider. Scam.

Received the call from this number as well. A women claiming to be National Grid. I then called NG and they informed me it must be a scam. I then called her back and told her that when she or who ever comes for the appointment I will have the cops waiting for them.
