tay is mad this people is not Scam, they are debt collector , why dont u pay you'r bill on time.

Then ignore future calls.

Called house...answered and no one spoke. also no one disconnected or said anything.  I issued directive to  SPEAK ...after no reply, told them to eat sh*t in another language.
Domestic or foreign, methinks this number is being used by many parties for multiple agendas. I have it on good authority some folks use caller ID spoofing w/ this and many other similar numbers to mask their personal agendas. so yes...for folks who complained above, this indeed explains why some calls from this number are perhaps legit debt collections and other times.....not so much.

I have received two calls in the past two days from this unknown number. I have not picked up or called the number myself to see who it is, because I never return calls from unknown numbers when the caller doesn't leave a message.

They called me regarding a ER bill from 5 years ago. I was polite when speaking to them until I said that I currently could not pay on it since I am barely surviving as is. Once I said that to them I was met with attitude and telling me that if I was not going to pay the bill then I should not have used the ER knowing I could not afford it. I was also told that I was wasting there time trying to collect this debt when they know I am lying about my income and that they will make me pay the bill. At that point my demeanor change to a lot of crude words and informed them that since they get paid to harass me the only time being wasted was my own.

Calling for a Steve Dundee or Gundy.  Steve stop using my number.

Got a call from this number today at 1:46 pm left no message. Will add to call block and ditch mail service.

Called me today claiming they were from Con Edison. Scam

these people keep calling me claiming they are different people/companies!  today it was conedison claiming to give me a lower rate if i could just give them some info on my bill.  they had my husbands name but our coned bill is in my name which is different.

previously they called and told me i was going to be sued for an unpaid bill!  they would see me in court!  still waiting for those papers.......

Good heads-up information!

Called me today, claim to be electricity/gas company ESCO Empower. Offered me to save money if I change from ConEd. Started asking personal information, when I asked where he got my number, he said that it was randomly selected...FISHY. my number is registered on national do not call list.

Conedison-related... friend who lives in Brooklyn keeps receiving calls from this company asking about billing information not currently related to where she lives. I believe this to be a scam or some sort of marketing ploy.

Constantly receiving harrasing phonecalls from Jordan Smith and Dan Franklin trying to entice me to sign-up with Empower Energy. I constantly keep telling them that I am not interested and to take my name off their list, yet they keep calling several times each week. Someone should take legal action against them for their constant harrassment!

Received a call today from 631-729-8500 ("ConEdison/EMPOWER") asking if I would like to save money on my ConEdison bill at my parent's house out of state (the call was placed to their landline, which is in no way connected to my ConEdison account, have not lived at this address for years). I inquired how on earth they got a hold of me at this unlisted number (I don't think my employer even has this phone number!). The "customer service rep" got flustered and told me I was randomly selected to save money. I persisted that it didn't make any sense -- the ConEdison account isn't even in my name. The "customer service rep" got angry, words were exchanged, and we hung up on each other. Upon calling ConEdison, I found out that this is a competing company. If you give them your ConEdison account number, they will start being listed as the source of your energy (ConEdison is still the provider) and will probably jack up your rates. Very manipulative scam. When I tried to call them back, the call cannot be completed as dialed. Will be filing a complaint.

I basically received the exact same call - but the caller purported to be from ConEdison and Empower (like a joint venture). When I asked how they got this phone number, called claimed my number was randomly selected, although the number I was called at is in no way related to my ConEdison account (my name isn't even on the account, although I pay the bill). Very creepy.

Troll. Stop being unhelpful.

This number calls my house continually and ask for someone not living at my address.  Then give no info.
