I have been paying VCU and CMH together as you instructed in April, 2015.  At that time all of the medical bills for your Richmond and South Hill (VCU owned) hospitals were combined.

You indicated that I would pay $98.00 a month which I have.  I got a call from a collection agency, they were very rude and threatening.  The caller refused to name his company or give his name but they called from 631-761-1700.

Now, whoever has decided to out the VCU amount of which I was paying $41.00 let me know.  I do not mind paying out of my Social Security check.  I informed the caller that I would just call my attorney if his harassment continued.  I have not missed a payment either before the combining of bills or since.  It is vey unusual to turn a paying account over for collections and also for the most part illegal/unethical.

RED FLAG - the caller refused to name the company.  That is illegal under the FDCPA!!

May I suggest you contact the original creditor (hospital) and make sure they are receiving the payment and not a bottom feeding debt collector.

Got a call from this number on my cellphone this afternoon. As I owe no money to anyone, I am betting this is a scam. Beware.

Got a call this morning from a dude who mumbled and wispered Suffolk Co. And started stuttering and didn't know what to say when asked the name of the company and what the matter was about.  When told the party was unavailable gave me an 855 ....call back phone number. I told him no messages are relayed when the person does not say what his business is or the company name. Very sketchy attitude if they can't say who you are.

Said it was a business matter but not what business matter. Will not be calling them back. If it is medical like others have said. I pay my medical bills directly and only have recently gotten a bill.
