- TiffanyAt first I didn't answer the call because I didn't recognize the number. I am debt free so no Bill collectors should be calling. I have received numerous calls daily from this number. When I called back it was a credit services company. I never could get through to a human being. The One time I answered they asked for someone with a Spanish name. I told them they had the wrong number and to please stop calling. I have been getting calls daily ever since.

- AnnoyedSo, these losers have been calling and hanging up for several days. Finally, today there was someone on the line. Asked for X my last name (only no X at this address). Told the snotty woman that we have no credit issues and that I'd call the police if they keep calling. I'm on do not call, by the way.

- BigA replies to PeterOnce again with the "I am on the DNC". If you had read the page where it tells you what the DNC covers and doesn't cover, you would have seen that debt collectors are not required to abide by that law. The reason? Because they are not selling anything for starters, and because they have their own special law.
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

- MaryI called them back. And they told me that I have a fredral law after me . I told her I was going to call the police & a man cut in laughing.. Such low life's. What a shame that they think they can get away with this. Blocked them for sure, only, I know they will call back under a different number.
- PatI got a call--a mechanical voice--like Siri--it is very difficult to decipher what is being said as the speech stops at the wrong parts of the sentences. In essence, it is a threat-- to have my "attorney of record" return the call, or "what unfolds will be totally upon" me. I have received the IDENTICAL message from numbers in Colorado, Mississippi and Texas. Clearly a scam!
- RachelI answered, he asked me if he is speaking to Rachel, I asked who he was. He kept mumbling something and asked me if I live on (street name which was my previous address.. a little creepy) I kept asking who wants to know. He mumbled who he was and kept asking "this is personal information and I need to know what apt number you live in". When I said I'm not giving any info until he identifies himself he says " I can call back at a later time when you can talk".
I hung up in his face. For the record- I have no debts so this is bs- Caller: +1 (631) 944-3000

- Your MamaThese people are a collection agency looking for payment for who knows what from my dead father.
They are interesting in that they are speak politely... "Do I have the pleasure of speaking with Mr. Fathersname lastname.", "No. Who the F are you?", "We have a business matter with Fathersname Lastname.", "The you should call him and not me, you [***]. Have a nice day."
But the fact that they are calling relatives of the debtor shows that they are not polite.
And the fact that they don't bother to check the Social Security Death Database shows they are just plain stupid.
Good luck.- Caller: The OMI Group
