received call, no msg, no answer when I call back, may be scammer calling.

Got a call and a robo-call message saying, "Please call immediately on our department number 631-944-9952 I repeat 631-944-9952 thank you"

Just like other scams I've seen.

Called my cell [which is on the DNC list] at 9:02 am.  Did not leave a message.

Out of curiosity I called back.  Got a man with an Indian accent in a call center [lots of background noise]  who answered only with hello.  I said 'you called me' he got rather flustered.  I said "what are you calling about",  He then claimed be with the IRS.  I told him "[***]" and then he claimed to be an "officer".  I worked for a CPA for several years the IRS doesn't use that term they are agents.  I told him "f-you, you are not from the IRS you are a criminal" hung up and then blocked the number.

This is a total scam.  The IRS does not contact people via phone they use the US Postal service.  Using the phone to "notify you that you are being sued" by the IRS or any other entity is lying the legal system doesn't work that way.  They have to serve papers either in person or vial certified mail.

Not only are these people criminals they are really stupid criminals.

I got 2 calls from this number, claiming to have more information about "the case." There was no further explanation or information about who was calling, what kind of case, etc.

Left a message and it was a robo call that clained the IRS is suing me.  Block this number total scam.

Got a call from Huntington, NY (631) 944-9952 requesting I call the number above about the IRS filling a lawsuit.

If this is a scam, these people need to be closed down...hope no one falls for this....got 2 messages telling me to call  back and they give you a case number,,,
