life threatening text messages

I got a strange message from a hope0707 is this the same person that texted you?

I got a message from hope0707.datepit.net yesterday but no phone number attach to the message

similar text message with no number attached from pookitou19982 who "got my number from a friend"

text message "I got your number from a friend but I bet you can't guess who I am! .."  Inviting me to check hope0707.datepit.net

Call from bludevilgirl822k..........same thing got my number from a friend, and that i would never guess who it was.  What benefit is there for people to send these?  Does anyone know why?

Received same messagefrom pookitou 19982 who got my number from a friend (we must all have the same friends).  Probably getting paid for hits to the website or it's loaded with viruses

my girlfriend received the same message yesterday with no number but they went by the name teeny4 this time

I got a text message from 50fanlover at 8:18 pm, no call back no, said he got my number from a friend a mine and said he bet I couldn't guess who he was, said to go to 50fanlover.datepit.net to see if I could recognize him. But datepit.net doesn't exist.

what does this mean ?

I too recieved a few text messages from the same number from teeny4 saying they recognize me and blah blah blah. Not impressed getting text messages from random people on my private cell phone number! Perhaps we should call our cellphone provider.

just got the same txt msg to my telus pay as you go phone. the phone number at the top of this page may or may not be correct because it is based in Iowa, but there is some information on a craig harris at http://www.who.is/whois-com/ip-address/datepit.com/ and also at http://fundrace.huffingtonpost.com/neighbors. ... tware+executive

the second website shows that he like to donate money to politicians.

the first site gives his personal information as Harris, Craig; Summer Eyes Software Corp. 40 Agawam Rd. Acton, Massachusetts 01720 United States Fax(978) 635-3971.

if you type in this address to google maps you will find that this craig harris guy is operating out of his own house, if anyone lives close by to him it would be nice if you stopped by and said hi for all of us.

I just got one of these lame text messages today, also on a Telus phone as someone earlier mentioned. No idea how this idiot got my number!

this is weird...

It doesn't help that all the girls are here for scary movie night...LOL

perhaps telus sold some of their accounts for advertising. are all of us using "pay as you go" phones??
