- MmahaffeyI also received a call from this number on 5/13. I am guessing it's some kind of telemarketing scam, as the number has an invalid area code.
- Grandma cookieThis number is from a company calling themselves "Credit card services." They want to consolidate your credit amounts. They call us at least once a week. We have talked to a person and told them to quit calling or we will charge them with telephone harassment. We are on the no-call list. We have reported them to Ohio Attorney General twice. States are taking action against such calls.

- Ronda CollinsWhen asking for a call back number they habng up. I have both my numbers in the DO NOT CALL database. If I knew of a way to get them to stop calling I would. I have a pre-paid credit card. So take my advice and not to get one of those either. They still call. I am at a stand still with these callers. I am not going to change my number to suit them. Those SOB's

- J119 isn't a valid prefix. That is illegal behavior all its own. I've seen a 000 prefix used before from the same area code. These people are lying, cheating pieces of garbage and they're phishing for info (your sensitive private and personal information) so that they can commit identity theft. Bill collectors, telemarketers and the like are REQUIRED BY LAW to divulge who they are- their actual business name and a REAL phone number on your caller ID. Any business, entity or scheming nest of crooks that do not should be reported to the government....like that helps, right? I know. Our country is filled with crooks.

- BIGG DAVEThese dipstix called AGAIN today, So I anwser it and then I wait for a "human being" to come on the phone.Tells me he will help lower my credit card payments. I ask what bank he represents and he tells me Visa, MC and Amex. I say no what bank. He tells me again Visa,MC,Amex. Again I ask what specific bank Again I start to hear Visa..... I say Do not ever call me again. He says but don't you want to lower your credit card payments? So I repeat DO NOT CALL Me AGAIN. Dipstick tries to talk again so I just hang up. Sounds like a pure scam to me.
- DotYes, they said today May 23..consolidate for a lower interest rate on your credit cards!

- DSMontanaI get a call from area code 642 at least once a week and when I do not answer I get another call a few minutes later from ""out of area" and both leave the same message regarding my credit card. I do not have any credit cards. I called my telephone company (Century Tel) and they said I can block the call but for that feature it will cost me $3+a month! Now I feel the phone company is scamming as well.

- GailI've gotten 2 phone calls from this number. I let both calls go to my answering machine. Then looked up the 642 area code and found this info. I'm going to try blocking the #, but if it's an invalid number, there's no point in reporting them to the FCC, is there? I assume they would have no way of tracing it.
- eddiemessage was a recording and so bad could not understand it.Area code is not valid so has to be a scam.

- loyd simpsonthey keep calling, each time the number when you call back is a disconnected number. I am sure they are using an auto-dailer. They are crooks, I am going to us the whisle. - ToosieCaller said it was a stimulus program. Invalid area code, scam do not answer 642 area code.
- DAH!!!I get these calls 2 - 3 times per month. I have reported these calls to state authorities as we are on State and Federal "Do Not Call" lists. The authorities just YAWN when I call to give details. If they could be caught, I expect a slap on the wrist is all they will get. So here is what I do, let the "real person" come on the phone and then every 15-20 seconds, "excuse me, have to let the dog out/in" burns up his/her air time as I expect they are on commission. I just make it an expensive gave for them in time and long-distance charges. Go have fun, as annoying as these people are. Better yet, get a tape recorder and have some monologue recorded for when the real person gets on the phone. They will try and interrupt, but cannot as it's a tape recorder. LOL

If anyone knows ANYTHING else at all, please let all of us know. I've only been called once, but others seem to be getting really ticked off.
