Seems like a long ways to travel for a $150 dollar item.  Why didn't texter just call my number in the ad???????? Like was explained in the ad.No e-mails or scams.  Why text????????

Just received a txt msg from this person calling himself "Joe" wanting to pay $600 for an item I have on Craigslist. He says he'll send me a cashiers check and all he needs is my name and address and he'll send someone to come pick it up.  I was born at night...just not last night...

I also received a text wanting to buy a 500 dollar item saying he is in New York and wants to purchase an item in New Mexico.  His handler will pick it up after the check clears.  I didn't think to check before I gave him my address hopefully I don't end up kid napped or robbed or something.  He said his name was Joe.

Got a message from this phone number, no name indicated, but wanted to initiate the purchase of a Lladro figurine that I have listed for sale in Utah. He wanted to do a cashier's check with $30 added on to "keep it in his favor" and cover shipping. I immediately thought it was a scam, so glad that I checked here for verification.

All sounds familiar. Total scam. I called him out right away. Cashiers check, extra money... The whole bit.

Definitely a Scammer. He used the name Robert Edwards. Sent me a cashiers check for $1820 for a $400 item I was selling on Craigslist. Took check to bank and it is going to fraud department.
