Just got an email from nonereply@irs.gov asking me to fax my SSN and back account info to +1-646-308-1145. I will get right on it! (it's a joke)

Yep, its a phising operation. Do not reply and do send it to the IRS at phising.irs.org

Also got an email from nonereply@irs.gov with instructions to fax details to +1 646 308 1145. I fell for it and tried to send the fax through before realising that the information they were requesting was a little detailed and personal. Fax luckily did not go through (I hope!). Am now righting to as many people and places highlighting that it is a hoax. I can't believe I stupidly fell for it. I have emailed the IRS phising email already
