- CR| 1 replyVery similar message received Th, Oct 9, re., debt collection, delivered repetitiously and at length (and very difficult to understand through thick accent), citing federal proceedings. Plainly a crank call but a bit unsettling nevertheless. The other reports for Oct 9-10 show this guy is bored as well as boring.

You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so. - Tony replies to DD| 1 replyjust got a call from a sheriff's number claiming to be in el paso county, the man had a strong accent and stated that there was a fraud case with my name and address and that I was being investigated. He told me to call a 646 number and to call a detective to get it straightened out or be arrested. Wow first of all if I was going to be arrested they know where I live and work. Second you couldn't even understand what the poor guy was saying,,,, lol,,, stop the scam madness already
- JamieJust got the same message as people did above.....
- Matt| 1 replyJust got a call from the same number claiming to be from the San Diego County Sheriff's office. I called the sheriff to see what was going on and they had no record of a deputy Matthew Jenkins. I called the IRS number that was left for me and it was a magicjack number. I called the sheriff back just to make sure I was okay and they said they had some reports of a scam. I called the (646) 340-4218 number back and asked what they wanted, after they asked for money and I said no because it's a scam. They guy I was talking to then offered me 15 million to help him kill president Obama, after I laughed at him, he said that those who do not help are going to be finished. He threatened to kill me and knew my address unless I paid him $500 dollars.
