Received a phone call from this number claiming to represent the law offices of "Shawn Woods" (I specifically asked him to spell it and after an aggravated huff and a few seconds of thinking this is how he spelled it) telling me that The Law Offices of Shawn Woods was going to take legal action against me on behalf of an un-named payday loan company unless I paid this person over the phone, when I said I have never received a payday loan he got very frustrated and told me I better have a good lawyer. Not very professional. They do have my information, and I suspect it is due to an infected computer. The accent this guy had made him very hard to understand.

I got the same phone call he said his name was " Canada" calling from the law offices of shawn woods and it was very important that i contacted him before they place a legal file on my SSN. havent called back. a friend of mine got a call fom the same man diff name same company and she called and they told her that she owed money to them cause she had an unpaid loan from 2009 and asked from where and they told her, so she called the company and they told her not to give any info cause she was not even listed in there database. IT'S A SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I keep getting the same phone calls. I was really nervous the first time, and i game the man my information, and was gonna make payments to him. he was foreign and very mean..He took out 200 out of my account, and than 1 month later he called back again, and i didnt answer so he took 750.00 from my account. I got the payments disputed, and got the money back in my account. I was glad for that, i have gotten two more since than, and i just got one today..Its all a big scam. I told the guy to contact my attorney, and he hung up.. I wish i knew how to make them stop, but please dont ever give them money..I am calling the police department on them, and the phone number, hopefully this will make them stop..

I received a call from offices of Shaun Woods also.  The caller's name was Steve Davis, with a very heavy accent (sounded Indian).  He told me to return his call at 646 389-2756 to discuss a very important matter.  You are correct, there must be a way to stop these people from calling.  This has to stop.  These are all persons with heavy accents.  I'm wondering if they change the name of company each time they pull these scams???  If this was a legitimate company, why does ID say Unknown?

I too have experienced the same where two heavy accented men harasses and threatens people and myself of bring legal actions. I threaten him back by stating that I am going to press charges and file for harassment, etc.  They hung up the phone and called back with a different #-559-399-0358.  I concur that there has to be a way to stop them from scamming people. If they were calling from a law firm as they claim they are, then should act accordingly by issuing a subpoena to the ones they claiming allegations against.  If anyone know what are the steps to create a criminal charge against the cons, please post it so that everyone, including myself, can use proper authority to cease these immoral persons.

I just recieved a call from Shawn Woods Law office. Stating the same thing. That I had an unpaid loan that I took out via the internet. When I requested information via mail & all their information of their place of business the lady told me all i needed to know was that if I did not pay this loan off immediatly they would take legal actions against me and sue me, then had the nerve to tell me " so why don't you just pay now. I told her I'll pay when you can prove it's my loan. She said she had my ss# & dob and proceeded to tell me my information !!!!!!! she read my ss# out loud .... CORRECTLY...... Im calling LIFE LOCK IMMEDIATLY !!!!!!

These people are morons!!!! We should call them back and say the same thing to them only use a real law office......

I ageed I recieved  call from this number 3646-389-2756 instructing me to call. They threatend me with legal actions and told me that if i didnt pay them that they would file a usit against me in court in California. I told them that I'd wait for that information fro the trail bc I have not taken out a  loan nor do I owe them or any other loan company!
Now I know for certain that either a copany that i used for debrt consolidation or such hase sold my info bc they didnt call me on my cell or house phone they are callingme dirrecetly on my Office number at my JOB!
I have reported the number to the local police n will see if I hear from them any more

i got the same message they had all my info. And on the voice mail she said they were and i quote "put me behind the bar" I asked for papers proving i owed money and he yelled saying "see you in court".. this cant be for real can it?

I received a call from these people. First on my cell phone which I had a hard time understanding how they got it and they've now called my home number. Not sure how I can block them from calling my number. They have called my cell phone 3 times. The first time I ended up hanging up on the lady because she told me that "I needed to pray about this situation". Yes, I am a Christian and try to treat others as I want to be treated, but I don't tell someone I don't know what they need to do spiritually! She claimed this was a line of credit that I had and the company was filing a "civil suit" against me and she was trying to help me get away from them doing that. I didn't give her anything but a hard time. Since that first call from her, I haven't answered when they call my cell and they never leave a message. If they were a legitimate company, they would leave a message.

So this idiot "Steven Davis" with a heavy Indian accent (and and American name????) calls here claiming my partner took out a loan in November of 2010. True, we applied for one, but it was not with the company he claimed to be representing on top of the fact that they didn't give him one because he didn't have a job. Never mind the fact that they tried calling here before threatening the same, but they don't even have a real name. Every real debt collector that has ever called me has a name associated with their caller id, first mistake! Then to actually go into discussing a supposed legal matter with someone you knew was not the individual shows your stupidity about the nuances of American law. So I requested some proof of this debt and the response I received was "we'll proceed the legal way" and he abruptly hangs up. So I called back and then I demanded he prove the debt and he couldn't. Reciting information and proof are two different things and proof is clearly lacking. So then he just starts screaming and threatens to sue for $9,500 at which point I had to laugh because no judge in their right mind would ever entertain such a frivolous case to carry out a gross miscarriage of justice. Oh it gets even better, so I called back a third time and he just answers the phone and says nothing and sits there breathing...I can hear the noise in the background idiot!!!!!

Really?! These people are idiots. I cant believe they would call me and do the exact same thing as everyone else on here posted. Whats really scary is that they read my social back to me and I immediatly pulled my credit reports and monitored. I wish I could pay them a little visit.

I too have gotten these calls.  It scared me to death.  They told me that if I didn't take care of this I could face prison time for writing a worthless check for the amount of $5000.00.  Who are they kidding?  I haven't had a checking account in years.  They have called me from two different numbers.  This number and 285-225-6322.  They even went on to ask me when I could get an attorney.

I have recieved a couple of these calls from phone number: 646-389-2756. I had a difficult time understanding his name, thought he said Joseph and what law office he said he was calling from, thought it was Owen Woods. I'm glad to hear that it's a scam, I wasn't going to call or offer any info but I was nervous about what unpaid bills I may have had out there that I wasn't aware of.

This is the second time I received a call from Calvin (with a very strong foreign accent) from a "law office" regarding my social security number.  The first number came from Los Angeles; this morning, this number.

They must have a well of numbers they draw from.  I keep getting calls from what sounds to be the same Indian guy but his name changes every time he leaves me a message and so does his return phone number.  Creeps me out.  I have reported each and every incident.

If these scammers don't quit calling me - I have a friend in the FBI and I having him put a recorder on my phone and get them in trouble.  I am tired of these scammers......
