Scam claiming to be from US Treasury about tax enforcement. 2 Calls in 6 hours.

Listed caller id.Parker Edwards, the person calling said a different name claims to have a class action law suit against me that I am required to appear before a magistrate or the supreme court and they want to help me with this lawsuit.can you say scam, don't you think I would know if I was supposed to appear in a US court?

Same thing -- caller ID said Parker Edwards.  The person calling had a strong accent - name sounded like "Pete Lawson" to me.  Wants to help me with lawsuit.  Scam!  I believe the IRS, Treasury Dept., etc. never call -- they contact people by mail.

Just got the same call, vaguely British accent, implying that I face legal action if I don't call back. Seems like a real lawsuit would be delivered via certified mail, not an early morning call. What kind of scam would be involved if I called back? What is the area code?

They called my number and I have caller id so I let machine get it the id says parker edwards and I didnt answer. They left a threatening message that I knew was bogus. They even had an accent so def not who they say they are

Always let the answering machine pick up our calls for screening purposes.  This guy had a heavy accent stated he was from IRS and there was a "serious law suit in your name" - No name given & did not get the full number he was reading as the recording stopped at 646-3 . . . . "Very important that you return my call the very second you receive this message" & "Call my department . . . " - total jammed up bogus message.

same guy called me, then two hours later with different number and area code.  The only question is how many more numbers I will have to block...
