Rec'd call... Message from Rob Carlberg from Agway Energy regarding our natural gas and electric acct.  This came on our business line which does not have an acct for gas & electric (Our home does and if I need info on acct I would call the # on my bill).  Will block this #

The woman at the other end says she's calling "in behalf" of Con Edison. She asked to speak to the owner and I said I was. She started blabbering about energy savings and all that b/s. I asked her to stop talking and delete our phone number from her database because "we will never be interested". What a mouthful!

Energy Crap Call to change electric company. Scammers

I got a call from this number saying it was in regards to my national grid bill and to have the bill in hand to "expedite our service". Call was received from DeMarcus. Scam.

Got this number in the morning cant ignore because it could be customer for my company. Picked up and she asked for owner and i said not available and could take a msg for her. she hang up... scammer! There is no way for us to prevent these scammers???? They are now using local numbers in stead of 8xx...so annoying!

He says "I NEED you to call me back" - wtf.

SCAMMERS. I immediately advised the female scammer she was speaking with an Agent of the Marshall Service and that she contacted a secure location prompting an on-site visit to her physical location. She remained undaunted by those facts while other scammers usually soil themselves, apologize and promise to remove the number from the scam list, however, she kept asking to speak the person in charge of paying for the utilities. She was not too bright, however, she did remain on track and probably is a very valuable scammer to her bosses.  I hope she looks good in orange and will do well in the very cold temperatures at Gitmo II.

Is the Politically Correct title for Scammers now Telemarketer so we don't offend anyone trying to steal the identity and life savings of our senior citizens and hard working tax paying American Citizens?

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:
If you get a call from Agway Energy Services in Syracuse, trying to "save you money," tell them to put you on their do not call list and do not let them rope you in to using their services.
They prey on the elderly and infirm, and those with limited English in order to rope them into "saving money" but they are a scam company and they will jack the rates up, two and three times more than you would normally pay.
NEVER BELIEVE A COLD CALLER WHEN THEY OFFER TO SAVE YOU MONEY! BUSINESSES ARE IN BUSINESS TO MAKE MONEY! IF YOU DID NOT SOLICIT THEIR CALL OR SERVICES, THEY ARE CALLING TO SCAM YOU!
They called my house yesterday and scared my mom into thinking Con Ed was gonna shut us off for non-payment. She told them I am who handles the bill and that I just paid it and they managed to convince her to give them my cell phone number. I spoke to them yesterday and today and told them we would not be switching and to not call us anymore.
They introduce themselves as representatives of your current energy company.
Why would Con Ed have ppl calling me to switch me to another provider? That is ridiculous! So today, I stayed on the phone longer, and managed to get the rep (thanks Lakeisha!) to give me the company name, city, website, etc. prior to stressing that both my phone numbers go on their do not call list.
After the call ended, I googled them and found a ton of complaints on the BBB website against them.
Do not fall for this!
