He's a Craig's list scammer. He's been texting me to get him to send $1100.

He is emailing me send $1600 via paypal. SCAM using the name of Rick Smith claiming to be in a rural area, and working for Turner  Construction.

He's a poor Craigslist scammer

So Glad I found this. He tried to get me to give him my phone number, address, and PayPal email.
Same name. Same story. Rick Smith. Turner Construction.

Same here.  Got his email today.  When he first contacted me he replied through the Craigslist reply function.
So when I first got his email he claimed that he needed a good email address because "some things weren't coming through"  Stupid me. I sent it.  Luckily not the one linked to my paypal account.  

However, whenever someone replies through the Craigslist reply function, you can flag their email as a scam.  Just look at the bottom of his original email he sent you and you'll see where you can click to alert Craigslist that it's a scam.  Otherwise, not sure what we can do to deal with scum like this.

It's amazing that you got someone from Maryland to drive all the way out here to Texas to deliver something to you that you yourself could pick up in just a few hours; and all for 600$.

Your transaction ID was a fake, Paypal had no record of you sending money or their need for Western Union in any transaction. You used YOUR "google #" as a phone number. You even used YOUR phone number as the construction company contact information. (seriously?) Also, Turner Construction HR had some choice words for your little transaction, most of which was laughter at your pathetic, useless, waste of an existance. Why don't you go get a job and stop trying to get something for nothing from hard working sucessful people. You "Phone number" is already plastered all over the internet as being a craigslist scam so why don't you take the time from you boring life and go back to school so you can educate yourself enough to qualify for flipping burgers. Your not smart, tricky, or creative in fact all you do is take up the air that could be used by someone else that matters. Let me see, a few other words that come to mind...loser, faliure, waste of a womb -- the list goes on. Thanks for wasting my time.

Sends message on phone asking if listing on CL still available.. "kindly get back to me on text". Poor fella didnt know who he was trying to Scam..

He is still working the same M.O. Wants to paypal money without seeing merchandise.

Very interesting, Rick Smith is still at it he got my home address before I was able to read all of this.  He did not get any other information.  I don't know why Google will not shut him down but I recommend that every one establish their own Google email and send Mr Smith many emails thanking him for his participation in Craig's list.

It is amazing that as famous as this guy is, Google takes not action?  I suspect that he is off-shore, but given today's technologies his server can be found.

Thanks to each of you for taking the time to inform the public of
Rick Smith's scams. He replied to my ad as well, with the same name and employer...working in a rural area and can only pay by paypal. My response to him was cash only...never heard from him again. Craigslist sellers beware. He is still at it as of end of March 2013.

He has a new # 347-305-6844. Same email as above and using the same line of in a rural area and wants to pay vis paypal. Watch out!

Ugh! He just got me using the 347 number. I gave him my email and phone number, then I found this posting! Just emailed him back saying it wasn't available anymore. What can he do with the info I gave him?

He did it to my wife and I again.  This happened on the morning of April 2nd.
