Called early this morning, woke me up. Left no vm.

They called with automated message saying it was a final call from IRS regarding tax fraud and to call the number back.

They did the same thing to me as Wintergirl. I called them back and it is OBVIOUSLY a fraud. He didn't have any of my information, just said that I owed over 2000 dollars and what did I want to do about it. PLUS, he said I had a federal warrent out for my arrest, I hung up immediately.

I also had an automated call stating it was my final warning from the IRS regarding tax fraud.

When I returned the call a person using the name Paul Adams stated I had filed 2012 taxes incorrectly and that I owed an amount and an officer would be at my door in 45 minutes to take me into custody.  There was no request for payment over the phone, but did ask if I had used an accountant.  Then the phone went silent.  My accountant has since informed me that the IRS does not call, they use only mail to contact individuals.

Big scam they are useing a spoof number got the same call. I reported them  this is a scam do not call back that's how they get people's info,they will try to scare people acting like a officer told me a warrent and the cops would be here in 1 hour that's was yesterday. They are in India and Pakistan in a call center call the cops

Got same call. I called back to ask what jurisdiction the warrant came out of?  He did not answer.  Also I asked for a copy of the documents to be emailed and I was denied.  The male sounded Pakistani or Indian.  Fortunately I went to law school.  I did call my accountant and we had a laugh.  I usually tell them I am from the NSA and hey hang up or better yet from the Mossad and we will hunt you down....

When I returned the call a person stated I had filed 2012 taxes incorrectly and that I owed $4000 and an officer would be at my door in 45 minutes to take me into custody and put me straight in jail for 6 months because I have been running from the American Govt. I immediatley asked for proof. There was no request for payment over the phone, but did ask if I had used an accountant. I told them I never leave the house so if I will be waiting for your officers. My accountant has since informed me that the IRS does not call, they use only mail to contact individuals.

Very similar experience as everyone else here.

Wife got this call wanting unpaid taxes. FBI suggested to IRS criminal investigation department as this is a scam.

I got same call and same message.  You think the IRS would be looking i to these fraud calls

Got same call.  We all should should spam this number and tie up their phones

Got same auto call. Said. I would be arrested if I didnt call right away. Just saw the i formervial about irs svam on tv.

this call is to inform you that a suit has been filed against your name, I hung up at this point.

Just got the same one on my voice mail.  I say let them come to my door, I have something waiting for them.  Scammers beware if the dog don't get you this little brass thing will.

Same as everyone above...an IRS tax officer and that I committed tax fraud and was going to be taken into custody....Blah blah blah

Reported call to Illinois Attorney General Consumer Fraud division.
I hope they get shut down before some elderly person loses their nest egg to these scumbags.
My voicemail transcribed the call as follows:

"The nature and the purpose of this call is to inform you that we have received legal petition notice concerning the tax fraud against you so before this matter goes to the federal claims court house or before your get arrested, Please call immediately on our department number 646-503-1979 make sure you call us as soon as possible."

Same experience, left 2 VM within a minute of the call.

voice mail message that I had a warrant for my arrest due to outstanding taxes that were owed and to call immediately.  Clearly a scam.
