Very rude and asking for random people, said they were a "friend" and calling from their home number.... we are a large corporation and I sense SCAM all over this number

This person calls our company 3-4 times a day asking to speak with different people.  We are a large company with over 2,000+ employees.

Heavy accent, call-center background, asked for an employee claiming that she had "asked for the call."  If she asked for the call, she would not have given the general number for our office.  Clearly a telemarketer or scam.

they call too many times a day asking for various people.  I don't answer anymore, but that doesn't stop them from calling.

Heavy accented man called and asked to speak to someone who does not work here. He spelled out the name and I verified four times that there was no employee here by that name. He kept insisting they were our "general counsel", and when I told him we were a medical clinic, he asked if I could check my "global lists" for this person. I just finally laughed and hung up on him.

Heavy accented man--called and asked for someone that doesn't work here. Insisted they were this persons family friend. HA! I said "REALLY" and hung up.

Man with accent called asking for someone by their full name (which is not used here), stating he "was a friend"- we are a large corporation and this person does not work at this location. Definitely SPAM. AVOID.

I called the phone number back as we have received multiple calls requesting to speak to specific individuals, however, we are part of a large health care organization. The heavily accented man (David) answered "Hello".  When I asked what company he works for he said that he is contracted through a company that performs employment verification.

Heavy accent "Dave" demanded to speak to the owner - Call Center noise in background - Would not give the name of the company he was calling for. He had his buddy call at the same time stating he was the owners friend but no information was given. Dial tone for you pal!

Like the others -- heavy accent, clearly from a Call Center.  Asked for me by name, wanted to know if it was my direct line.  When I asked several times what it was regarding, gave some garbled response.  As soon as I confirmed number, bogusly said "What? What? You're breaking up."  Tried several times to get information by the same ruse.  Bogus call.

Called asking for my coworker, we share a phone but my coworker never has calls sent to the line because I am the primary one in the office.   He asked repeatedly for her, I said she is on-call - because honestly maybe he was working with her on something.  When he didn't get what "on-call" meant I knew he was an idiot.  He proved he was a scammer when he told me his name was "joker" and he was with the "circus".  At that point I hung up.  Heavy accent, no concept of phone ettiquette.

Man with accent wanted to speak with a particular manager.  I requested the purpose of his call, and he said, "I'm her friend."  (Right.)  When I asked his name, he replied, "Edward Cullen."  Almost gagging on my afternoon tea, I put him on hold a few seconds, then offered to take a message.  He politely declined and hung up.

Bookends -- Man with accent wanted to speak with a manager who is at another location.  I asked the reason for his call, and he answered, "I'm his friend, but I don't have his office number."  If you're a friend, you should be phoning him at home in the evening and not his place of business during working hours.  I put him on hold for a few seconds, and he hung up.

    Seriously?
Heavy-accented man asked for me by name and then asked to speak to my assistant, "David Prowl." I asked him to repeat the name several times and told him that I didn't have an assistant by that name. Call activity in the background. He said, "okay" and hung up. So weird.

Received a call from this infamous Dave this morning. Would not give any company info except that he was in Washington DC and it was a confidential call. I offered to have someone call him back since I now had his phone number that showed on my caller ID (confidential, right?) he then started to yell at me about wasting his time answering all these aggressive questions I was asking.. Then mumbled something.. When i asked him to repeat what he said, it was "You should go LAY IN A GUTTER WHERE FILTH LIES. Did you understand that ma'am?" I should have hung up but decided to have a 5 minute scream fest because I was going home early and it was fun screaming at this [***]. Also, he spelled out gutter to me incorrectly. "Gatter". He only hung up after I said it would make me happy to speak to his supervisor. I really hope he calls back to be honest.

Call and ask for random people not in our office. Call several times a day. Will become rude when I request more details. Now, I just hang up because it's clearly some type of scam.
