I got a call when i downloaded something they tracked my number and called me and said they were microsoft

I just got a call from this number and they are saying I won 8.000.00 from the goverment of United States, and I have to go to Wetern Union store and make payment of 160.00 and they will release the money.

Ron, it's a scam.  Do not answer their calls and report them to the FCC and your local police department.  I get several emails a day saying I've won millions and all I have to do is send $90.00 to $350.00 for the Western Union fee.  These people belong in prison.

I called it back with a *67 to block my #,. It answers with an automated answer and supposedly allows you to remove your # if you don't want to be contacted again. If they call me again, then I will call back the same way and enter my # to remove it, It says it will be removed in 72 hours.. we'll see

gman518, the name Prescott Clearwater is your first clue that it's a scam.  Block their call on your phone and ignore them.  Pressing "1" when you cal them will NOT remove your number from their records even though they say it will.

Just on caller ID, get numerous calls weekly from scammers....they are relentless...these things need to stop!

I got an unknown call stating my computer was sending several error messages to Micorsoft Windows Service Center and they were calling to help correct this problem.  He had a strong Asian accent, and said I needed to go to the computer, didn't have to be online, and to go to the certain places, etc.  I felt uneasy but wanted to see what he was going to have me do.  He asked if there were any warning labels in any of the areas listed and wanted to verify i was in the exact location he asked me to go to. He hadn't asked me to change anything yet, but I started thinking about him trying to tap in while I was online, and I finally asked again where he said he was calling from and with who, and that I needed his number to verify that this was a legitimate call and he said he didn't blame me and gave me 323-522-5366 to verify and that his name is Adam the manager, he said they were in California.  I looked up the number and Windows Service Center Calls and it showed as a scam and I entered a comment on the tel. number above.  I called the number and it just rang and beeped to leave a message WITHOUT any ID or information. A few minutes later, Adam called me back on my cell and said he was calling back from The Windows Service Center.  I informed him of the scam and how Microsoft does not call in this manner, and he said he was Not with Microsoft  I questioned why the first call showed unknown (he said it's due to the large satellite...)and nothing identified them when I called in and that I was going to report this event and to remove me from their list and not call me again.  He said "okay, thank you mam" and I hung up.  BEWARE OF THESE CALLS---DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING ON YOUR COMPUTER!!

Just called my cell phone twice. The second time it was a recording saying they were calling back about a job interview for Home Based making 500-1k a week. I had never called anyone about any job anywhere.

They called for a job interveiw . Dont call back

They called, I did not answer and they left a message about making 500-1000$ a week. It was dead air and then it was like they started playing a recording. If you answer they then know you are a real phone number and can sell your phone number to other scammers.

Just got a call from this number & they left a vm (pre-recorded because it was cut off) about "This is in regards to the job interview" & about making $500-$1,000 per week.

I got the same call about home health care, "This is in regards to the job interview" & about making $500-$1,000 per week. I hung up not thinking.  My wife is looking for a job and I thought it was a reply.

They have called my cell twice about the job I had applied for...which is odd, since I have not applied for a job in over eight yeras.

They wanted to help us seel our timeshare. We don't own a timeshare!

this morning the SAME call came from ENFIELD CT they said they are the GEEK SQUAD just like they did from this number saying to download something to make my computer work better.  I said why on earth would I allow you who I don't know have access to my computer.  I CALLED the corporate office of Geek Squad saying they are pretening to be you this is a federal offense impersonating a business to gain illegal access which it is against the law.  GEEK Squads legal dept called me so now those people from INDIA are screwed!!

I blocked their number and this number which is 860-265-4984
