i posted an ad on creigslist on a sony camera and this number text me wanting the camera he sent me money though paypal and wants me to send it to Nigeria seems a little suspicious

I received a text from this number, also wanting to purchase something I had on CraigsList.  He said he wanted to buy it as a birthday gift for his father in Maryland.  He said he would pay using paypal and would have a private agent pick up the piece to be shipped.  SCAMMER FOR SURE!!     BEWARE!  

I'm reporting his number to the police so that they can someday hunt him down, since I'm not the only one experiencing this.

thanks folks for all your input about this number , it is as i thought it would be ,  this number text me about a item i had on craigs list wanting my pay pal account ... i replied ,, that i dont deal with pay pal ,, send me the cash with your pick up person and you can have the goods     probly wont hear from them again

i told number 646 580 3022  that i looked them up on google ,,,, guess what       i havent heard back from the number      thanks again  guys

I am a heavy internet seller and have run into lots of these. Anything over $50 is a target for this so if at all possible sell locally and only accept cash or cashiers chechs (mandatory 10 business day waiting period for checks to clear) before merchandise leave your posession. Just some friendly advice. Good luck sellers!

Thanks for the info guys!!! a number starting with the same few digits JUST texted me and knowing that caraigslist is full of con artist i chose to hit the net and find out if there was any scam behind them. Lowe and behold i found these comments!! good looking out!

so i told him i only deal with cash and never answered my text again.Then i goggled it and i found this site.

Don't get bitten by this snakes they will always try and try until one is victimized.

I had the same experience. This idiot sent me a text wanting my paypal info saying that he cant receive calls cause hes in the military. I just kept insisting he had his "pick up agent" bring me cash. Then he gave up. What a low existance.

Got a text wanting to buy a car without seeing it. Wanted my pay pall address, saying that the agent from auto parts headquarters in USA will pick it up.

Textig....This number wanted to buy my item on criagslist today...sent me a payment through a site that is similar to paypal, but not Paypal.  This guy is trying to scam people.
