    Posted an ad on Craigslist for some furniture. Almost immediately got this familiar scam message stream from this phone number. Wanting to pay by PayPal.

    Same thing happened to me. Same Paypal question and wanted to send movers from NYC to Texas for my dining room furniture. Beware! And thank you both for posting info.

    The day I posted to Craigslist I got text from this number offering to pay for a drumset with personal check and to pay/arrange shipping. Who in the heck would want to pay to ship an inexpensive drumset? An obvious scam.
