same here, i return call and the number was not valid

I got a call from someone claiming to be from Time Warner Cable, asking about my internet service.  Seemed to be a sales call.  I already get my internet (and TV, and a phone I don't use) from TWC.  I asked where she was located and she said "New York."  I asked where in NY, and she said the District of Columbia.  Later, after I spoke to a supposed supervisor, she got back on the line and said it was near Columbus Circle.  Both had slight hispanic accents.  Supervisor (male) stated I should be able to tell by his accent that he was American.  I admonished them both for not checking the do-not-call list before calling and for not knowing, if they were really from TWC, that I was already a TWC customer for internet.  It wasn't until I got off the line that I checked this web site and discovered that it was truly a scam number, which I will now block.

Same here. (Actually am a TWC customer also, but maybe a coincidence). Anyway, if it's a spoofed number, it's now blocked.
Also on the NY State and Federal DoNotCall Lists, but I'm still waiting (since Day 1) to see what difference that means. (Zero?)

Someone claiming to be calling from Time Warner. Wants to speak to whoever "handles the phone and internet"

Why?

We already use you guys and have your Service..Why are you calling, and if you ARE indeed calling from Time Warner- don't you see our Account with you? As well as the name of the contact??

Caller stated he was from Time Warner asking for manager - said we did not have a manager, well then can you connect me to person in charge of television/phone/internet.  I asked his name - I think he said "Simon" heavy accent - told him IT manager out right now - he'll call back.  funny - he won't get anywhere.

"Unknown Caller" Leaves no message and keeps calling back once in awhile.

Call claiming to be from Time Warner, man with heavy accent. He asked to speak with the manager, I told him "this is a residence", the caller then hung up on me.  Has to be a scam the caller id name was "XXXXXX NY"

Came home from work to find an ominous sounding message concerning "a criminal lawsuit" filed against me. Callback number is 202 800 5591. He concluded the message saying if I didn't return the call, he wished me luck "as the situation unfolds on you."

Effing TIME WARNER Cable- they are rude and refuse to remove us from their calling list- i have told them repeatedly that we are already customers- and if they would jkust update their information, they would see this.  The one day they called, and I was LITERALLY staring at a guy in my Lobby who was here FROM TIME WARNER to have a meeting with my head of IT. and I told them "I am looking at one of your representative who is standing RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME"  (HE WAS HERE TO SIMPLY DISCUSS UPGRADES OR SOMETHING) we are already a CLIENT- PLEASE stop calling!!! I mean - is there absolutely no research that goes into calling people? its completely ridiculous

Today the guy interrupts me to tall me "ok- have a nice day..." and refusing to acknowledge my request to be removed.

If there was another provider in town i would scream to everyone to use them because Time Warner are  bunch if effing crooks

Claimed to be Time Warner. Wanted us to upgrade internet and phone. Asked for number to call them back. 646-646-6000. I thought I missed the area code so asked for it again... She said 1. lol
