Received a phone call twice on my cell phone with a recorded message telling me to return the phone call to Shawn White who is an IRS agent.  If I or my lawyer does not return the call there were going to be grave consequences. The voice had a slight foreign accent. I'm sure it's a phishing scam.  I tried calling back the number but got a busy signal or a ring with no answer. I now have blocked the number.

Received a voicemail saying if my attorney or I do not return the call "there will be grave legal consequences."  I believe the accent is a New Yorker's.  I will block the number.

Had the exact same thing happen today, obv a scam. If they call back will answer and threaten to call the authorities for impersoning an officer, as he said his name is officer Shawn White.

This is a irs scam. I got the vm like everyone else and right as I called I recognized the accent.

I called back played around with "Steve" until he cussed at me in Hindi and I laughed and cussed his back in Hindi. Needless to say he was shocked and hung up.

Called back and played with another guy and started talking to him in Hindi and he freaked out and hung up.

Hate theses [***] and it's fair to say they blocked my number. Tried calling them back 8 times today. Guess they don't wanna play :(

As all the posts above the same type  of call saying that I will have legal consequences, when my lawyer call they hang up on him!

Received a call from this number and the guy said if I didn't return the call the legal consequences would fall on me.  Tried to call back.  About 7 rings later I got Hindi music.  Blocked the number.

Got the same message, except mine was from Captain Shawn White, yadda yadda yadda; twice today!

I Received a message from Officer Shawn White stating that I need to return the call. If he doesn't hear back from me or my lower,  "Then the legal situation unfolds on me."

Exactly the same call to our Denver CO Number.   What a ruse!  Blocked it.

Officer Shawn White said that I had a problem with IRS and that either I or my attorney need to call rhis number back and immediately and get this problem taken care of. He had a  obvious Middle Eastern accent. Crazy. They have called 2 or 3 times.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
