Caller left VM, id'd himself as Dennis Gray, spoke with Anglo-Indian accent and sounded like he was standing on a street corner in a busy city, complete with car horns in the background.  Said he was calling about an issue with the US Dept of Treasury and if I didn't call back I would be called to appear in front of a "magistrate".  These IRS scam calls are getting more entertaining with each passing month!

Same here,the guy actually wanted to argue with me after I told him that I knew he was trying to scam me.They have called everyone in the neighborhood.

Said I would be arrested in 45 mins.  Called 2 days in a roll.  Said to ignore would be a federal offense.

IGNORING is a BRILLIANT move since the caller is a THIEF (and not the IRS).

Received message - called ID showed Jewel Rana - said same thing - criminal charges must not ignore message or will have to appear before the "magistrate".  Definitely not calling them back.

I got the same call (but without the traffic noise in the background). Since my company actually IS in a dispute with the IRS, it had me going for a moment or two.  I think it was a combination of his non-American accent and the use of "Magistrate" that clued me it was a scam. But of course the IRS also does NOT call you. They send registered mail!

Also got Jewel Rana on caller I.D. and "Dennis Gray" (sure sounded like a 'Dennis' ) left the same message about the Treasury Department in a heavy mid-Eastern accent.  Couldn't help noticing 666 in the phone number...significant?
