Loan Scammers.

Incoming call to a cell phone.  Cell phone number on both the state and federal do-not-call registries.  Robo caller message from 646-652-7215 states: ”you may qualify for a business loan with lower account interest rates.  Press one to be connected to a representative or press three to be put on our do not call list.”  After several seconds of no sounds, call disconnects.

A return call to this number 646-652-7215 results in ringing, but no answer and eventually a busy signal.

Caller ID says Manhattan NY.  Don't know anyone there, so I never answer the 646 area code (and they never leave a VM, of course).  I always check here and it's always some scam.  I wish these people would die in a fire.  

Called about a scam loan then it hung up

I have connected to this call about small business loans 3 times now and each time asking for my number to be removed since I am retired it makes no sence to me...would not even if I were younger!

Robo call to my cell phone regarding business loans.  My number is on Do Not Call List.  Not happy with violation.

Robocall to business line.  Live operator referred to their name as "Business Promotions" offering business loans.  Wanted to know if I was the owner, how long in business, and monthly revenue in order to "qualify".  Refused to give me more information about their company (even like web site address) without providing all requested information.  Told him I needed to qualify THEM first, so please provide a web site address.  Hung up on me.  No trustworthy business would do this.  They will likely call back and I'll string them along with false information and see what I get.  I've gotten calls like this before from other numbers, so they likely are related.

Do not give these people any real information, they are highly likely to rip you off.

I understand, Louise.  Think of it as a game - pretend to be a large company.  Make up a name to give them.  You are the owner of a company that's been in business for 15 years, and has a revenue of $125,000/month.  Go through the motions, get them interested in doing business with you.  Slowly ask for more information about this company as you talk to them.  File a complaint with the FTC with all the information you've gotten.  If you get calls from anyone else asking for {fake name}, file complaints against them as well.

The worst thing you can do to them is talk to them.  And since you're retired, you can make this into a game to see how long you can keep them on the phone.  Record the calls and put them on YouTube (check with your State to insure you're a single-party state first!).

"Business Loan" call, obviously a fake as the number called has been my personal cell phone number for over 10 years.  I keep getting this call or ones like it from the same people from different parts of the country.  I want to know how they identified my number as a business in the first place.

"Your business has been pre-approved for business load." Yeah! Caller ID reads as unknown.
