It is a party purporting to represent the IRS. They claim recipient of call is in arrears of taxes due immediately. They will threaten you with arrest, police, etc and demand immediate payment. IT IS A SCAM-  DO NOT GIVE ANY INFO, ACCOUNTS, MONEY TO THESE CALLS! Call your attorney general and report these calls immediately!

Same as above comment. They said it is the IRS with a lawsuit against me. This is untrue.

Called during the work day on my cell phone. Didnt recognize the number declined call. Message was left to call the number above.

On voice mail, call on "this case file at number".  On call back they represented themselves as calling from Federal IRS in Washington DC. The phone #646 740 0186 is a New York number. When told that and that the IRS does not place collection calls, the line went dead. This is a phishing target SCAM.

IRS Scam:

The IRS does not need to sue anyone.  They send you first class letters delivered by the Post Office.  Several of them.  Ignore those, and they then send certified letters that you need to sign for.  Again delivered by the Post Office.  Ignore those and they simply freeze your bank accounts and anything else you own.  If they can do that, then why would they bother with a court case that might take them years before they get in front of a judge?  They also do not bother arresting people for a few thousand dollars for the same reasons I have already given.

Same here,,,robot saying IRS has a lawsuit against me. Pure BS. It is a scam

The call told me filing a lawsuit then that number . I was get in line. I did not recognize that number so I check it out it must be a scam

the man said i was being sued by the irs and they have a warrant for me arrest. the man said his name was adam void and his badge number was w1700793. he called me 4 times and i told him the called was being trased and he hung up and never called back again. he had my address and my name and phone #.

See Big A's post above for reporting information.  Most of these calls are coming from India and Pakistan. The best way to stop these calls are to block them if you have a blocking device or phone.

its BS ignore them better yet don't answer the call

Got this voicemail today and it's the same msg as all the folks state above. But, I also got the same msg from 206-317-9442. I sent this info to the real IRS
