Collections agency posing as a Financial Crimes Investigator. This particular person stated his name to be Paul Davis with the Financial Crimes Division. He stated there was an active criminal investigation involving my name and social security number. Sounded pretty threatening but other than a normal American accent, the message was virtually identical to those with Indian accents. My guess is it's an attempt to collect for a past Payday loan.

I just received the same call.. asked for the date of the transaction and it doesn't show on my bank statement

I got a call from the same person 'Paul Davis'12/06/13 and then passed off to a 'Derek Alexander' and told not to ask any questions until he was done.  I would be arrested due to financial fraud etc. Alot of the stuff was right but the acct was paid and I have documentation etc and it sounded the same as the foreign people that would call every so often over the years.  Got another call today a Jason Goldman and said the same thing and he was following up on the Friday call because they hadn't reached me-false.
