I received a call from this number; saying they were with the IRS; "if they don't get a call back from me or my attorney, they will not be responsible for the back luck that will fall on me."  They called first at 846am and left that message.  They called again about 11am; I called them back; they asked for my name and I told them - I don't know, you called me, who am I?  They asked for my phone number, I said, you have caller id - what's my number.  The call was disconnected and now when I try to call back, I either get a busy signal or a recording that my call cannot go through.  So, I guess I've been blocked.   They've been calling alot in my area (Louisville, KY) and threatening to have the police come arrest you if you don't give them the money you (supposedly) owe the IRS.  Older people are giving them debit cards, etc.  DON'T FALL FOR IT - I hope they call again, I'm going to have some fun at their expense.

I got the same message. When i called back they answered IRS... Officer so and so.... I laughed because this is an obvious case of [***] trying to screw people over. When I laughed the guy who picked up mocked me and hung up! These guys need to go to jail. They sound like terrorist!!!!

I just got the same call too, from the same number.  I'm in Louisville too.  I wonder what the other connections would be to select us for these calls??

I got the same call twice saying I would be arrested if I didn't call them back today. When I tried to call them line was always bust. Thanks for reporting this number as fraudulent.

Please get this man who is harassing my phone.

I got the same message, saying they will seize my assets and something about me needing a lawyer. Obvious scam

Caller states he is from New York and his name is Officer Eric Foster.  He gave us the telephone number of 646-757-1643.    He threatened us with losing everything if we didn't return the call.  He also said " If you or your attorney don't return this call, I wish you good luck."

Yes I received the same call & when I returned the call the guy said this is officer Eric Foster from IRS, & when I said I'm returning this call & what is this regarding they hung up. I tried to call back but the line keeps hanging up & just like the previous comments on here I got the same voicemail message for me & my attorney to call back

caller left message saying to call back  646-757-1643 and not try to avoid call or he wishes me good luck as bad situation will unfold on me. this is a bit scary, and I will not call back. He did not say where he was from.

But you did read what everyone else said before your post, right? So you know it's a scam.

Same call from a supposed "Officer Eric Foster" same modus operandi!  Fortunately there has been a lot on the news about this type of activity, esp. targeting older folks!  If he calls back (he called twice) we won't answer, as we did not answer before!  Scumbags!  We are in Florida so they are calling all over the country!  He also had a distinct accent.

I got the same phone call tonight from the same number...he left a message that I or my attorney should call him back. I'm not calling this guy. He used the same name, had  a slight accent and he called from  the same number.

Received two calls 8:34 am and 12:47 pm from this number "Eric Foster..... and the situation will worsen and back luck...... etc.   I have no intention wasting my time to call back.

caller threatened arrest if I did not give info. Claimed he was IRS agent not even close. But reporting to a government official to investigate was a bigger joke.

I Just got this same message and when i tried to call back the same thing happen to me no answer it just ranged

I got the same call,same number, same person, same accent everything was the same history I just called back and i tell this stupid guy PLEASE STOP CALLING ME [***]

Received the same call in message form on my answering machine from an Officer Eric Foster.  Heavy Accent saying he's expecting a call back from our attorney and never says exactly who the message is for.  Sounded threatening and then said good luck, I think.  Bizarre call.  Called the number out of curiosity and it wouldn't even go through.  Total scam or scare tactic??  It's sad he doesn't have anything productive to do with his time.

Claimed to be IRS...insisted I call back & get an attorney.
