Called my mom and told her that her computer needed a license.  For $650.00.  Had her do a few things on the computer, like hold down the windows key and the r key at the same time. Gave her a website to look up for a legit company, trying to seem more convincing.  Both had thick Arabic or Indian accents.

Yes, I did get a message from them and it so happen I had downloaded 7 and been working on my Neat, Both, femail and mail had thick voices and sounded foreign. 646 is New York. So why can't they be tracked. With me they asked me to go to www.mmaay.com and I don't know whether or not they got me. I'm running my malware right now.

If you downloaded anything - take your computer to a reputable computer repair store - you don't know what they may have access to.  Your malware may not get everything they put on the computer.

Same complaints as other posters.  He told me he worked for Windows Tech Support. I said so you work for Microsoft. He said yes. His name was Bane Wilson phone number 1-646-810-6453. He wanted to help me remove a virus from my computer. We argued. He told me he would revoke my Windows Registration.

Had two calls from the same "company".  I told the first caller that I believed it was a scam, and he got angry.  That was 07/12/13.  Today's caller told me he was working for Microsoft tech support, that his name was "Andrew Stevenson" and that his tech id number was MS1087.  He wanted to correct the slow running of my computer.  He gave me the 646 810-6453 number, and told me to call back after I checked him out.  Needless to say, I won't be calling him back.

Got the same call from "Jeff Spencer" Microsoft Technician. I did allow him to remote in to my computer and he showed me where my computer had been compromised and wanted to sell me Software to fix it. I refused any banking information, but am very concerned about what they may have installed during the remote session.

They called my mom twice...They said they were from Global Services and that something might be wrong with her computer. She asked for their number...hung up and tried to call...the phone never rung. I used an internet reverse phone look-up and found it is a landline from New York City, New York.

Same thing here. Said his name was victor, calling from global services and that they were working with microsoft to stop the warnings coming from my pc.Gave me the website, www.cds247.com, said it should download something on my pc to help with the warnings. Needless to say, I didnt go there. He was very angry when I asked for a supervisor. He took the phone away from his mouth and then came back talking to me like he was someone else. VERY thick eastern indian accent.

I have asked him to stop calling me... he has called atleast 3-4 times a day for the past week!

Just got off the phone with "Victor Sherwood" who insisted he was in New York.  Had a thick accent and was saying the same as other have reported.  Calling because they are receiving messages that my computer is infected.  They asked me to press the window key and the letter R and gave me information to type into the file, network search screen.  I figured it was a scam and told them I had no time for them and hung up.

I then called my mother and warned her about the potential for her to receive a call as well.

I hate that we live in a world where there are so many folks out to mess with people.  How do they sleep at night???

A Matt introduced himself saying he was from Microsoft Tech Support. It was difficult to understand everything he said, as he talked with an accent - from India I think. Caller ID showed "Anonymous" as the calling phone number. Matt kept asking if I was the primary user of my computer. He wanted me to go to my PC and  stressed that I should be doing this myself, with no one else. He said he was worried that my PC was infected by visiting sites such as Google or Bing or he named a few others. While he was talking, I shut down both of my PCs on the chance he was somehow signing on. I asked how he got my phone number and he said he was from Microsoft Technical Support and that I'm listed in their records. I told him that I was in the middle of other things and said I could sign on from a public PC and print his instructions for what he wanted me to check if he e-mailed them. He said he'd call back. I told him again that I didn't have time to check anything right now and again asked him to e-mail what he was talking about, or snail mail it. He gave me 646-810-6453 to call back. When I searched on that phone number, I arrived 'here'.

Just got off the phone with a female with thick accent.  I could hardly understand what she was saying.  She mentioned some of the same things as those that have already posted.  I told her that IF I was having a problem with my computer I WOULD be making the call, no one is going to call me and tell me I've having online errors, and NO WAY would I be getting on my computer and doing what she asked me to do.  I asked her the name of her company, and she said PC Solutions and I asked her the number, which she gave me as 646-810-6453.  I said I'll call Microsoft to verify what she was telling me and if they could confirm it as legitimate, I'd call back.  It comes up as Unknown name and number on my caller ID.

URGH! I got this obvious sales/scam call from Eddy Wilson, HEAVY Indian accent. And the return number of 646-810-6453. He claimed that my computer was infected with Spyware, Malware, Trojan and Adware files.

I have protection software and checked for the last backup as he was on the phone trying to convince me I needed to check my computer myself (he could walk me thru it) or I could give him remote access. WTF? I clearly stated there was NO WAY he or anyone was getting remote access.

Since my husband is in computers, I was pretty sure we were OK - and as I look ed at our last backup (dated today! and all was good) I pushed for Eddy to give me three file names he was seeing from his end at Microsoft Technical department that warranted the call. He couldn't - and then I asked who he was calling. The name was a previous owner of the number (I have had this number for 5 years +) and when I mentioned that little tidbit, he went on to say how there databases aren't always current but the problem remains just the same.

Thank you to the previous post - I will also alert my mom, who is not so tech savvy. This would scare the [***] out of her. Cant they get these people?
