Received a call at my place of business from a Jack Rosen (Clifford Law Firm).  Guy with a Middle Eastern accent.  He threatened my job and told two associates of mine that it was a matter of someone's life/death and that I had 15 minutes to call back or I will lose my job.

I got a call from a guy saying I owe money from a pay day loan and was going to sue me.  the call was from 646-843-6258

Caller calls me at home, cell and work, Indian accent, claiming to be Senior attorney at Clifford Law Firm. States that I owe money on a payday advance that was deposited into my account on 2007,  caller has my checking acct number, social, mother and spouses names and phone numbers. Threatens that a lawsuit has been filed on behalf of 'Cashnet USA.'  More interesting,  The account that this loan was supposedly deposited into in may of 2007 wasn't opened until sep 2008, and was closed in dec 08 due to checks being fraudulently submitted to the account.  I'm wondering if this is related.

Caller has an indian accent claiming his name is kevin and then another one said he is jack wilson caller me at my work place several times a day even if asked that they stop calling me, even told other people from my workplace that i owe money from cashnet usa and cash co. they should be stopped. they are rude.

Yes...he even started calling my father's home and asking for my father.  I have told my father who this guy is and what he is trying to do and the next time the guy called, my father said he has the wrong number, and the guy started to get verbally abusive, calling him a liar.  I have reported this phone number and the names used (Clifford Law Offices, Jack Rosen and Colin Dunn) to the following FBI site:

As soon as I hit "submit" I received a call back from the FBI and they took down the information.  They are stating that this is a "Phishing" scam and they are trying to get more information on you as well as money.  This is becoming widespread and they advise that you tell them they have been reported to the FBI as well as the FTC and simply hang up.  My best advice to you all is to contact both the FBI and FTC to report this guy.

I've been getting the same exact thing.... Said I owe money from a loan in 2007 that I recieved directly into my account which the accont number they have is not my account number... They say attoneys will come to my house escorting me to court tommorow.. I've put a police report out on them... They sound Indian as well but have American names that change everytime they call primary name used was Jack Wilson and some Robert guy...

Same story here. I changed my cellphone # and then they went after my son and best friend.I just called my office to listen to my messages and " Kathy " left a message there. Isn't there anyone that can stop them? I reported to the FBI, the Federal Trade Commission and just got off the phone with Homeland Security. The man that I talked to was great and knew exactly what I was talking about.It is really escalating according to him. An officer is supposed to call me back on Monday. Anyway, I just called theses idiots back and swore and screamed so loud and the guy just kept jabbering away. I yelled "you are the f'ing criminals and I have so much info on you it isn't funny! " I wouldn't let him get a word in edgewise. The fact that they are calling my friends and my job infuriates me. I have decided that if they call on Monday I am going to start harrassing them.I am going to call them and accuse them etc.. and keep it up using all the numbers they have used. I honestly don't know what else to do. Has anyone on this site had a happy ending? When do they stop calling?

Yeah, I just got a call from this number as well, but i didn't answer and looked up the number on google and stumbled across this website.  I certainly am glad i didn't answer now!

I just checked my cell for calls and saw that wonderful number.  I looked it up in Google and like Jeremiah came across all of this interesting information.  The call came in at about 8:30 in the evening and I am happy I missed it or else they probably would have scared me to death.  Thank goodness for the internet.  Makes you wonder how we got along without it?

Same thing happened to me. But they got money from me only 109.99. But I stopped the payment on them after calling the Ohio General Attorney. They said free anything with you name on any account. That way you know if they try to get money from any account. You get a phone call just like that. This is a big scam. Do not say anything to them. Hang up if they did get anything it come up as Pilgrim Telephone on your statement. And this is not in the USA. It is an internal call. Let's stop this scam. They tell you if you do not pay you got to jail. Do not believe that. They can not toss you in jail for this. It only can go against your credit and that's it. They will not tell you much and if you ask them to send you the company info they tell you they did. But will not. They just trying to scare you. And so they can get your credit card. Call the FBI if this happens to you. We will stop you from scamming us. And they keep changing their phone number. That's a big red flag to me.

The man called asking for me by name. He said he was with a law firm. I told him there is no one here by that name. My mail was stolen in July from a US Post office box (the entired box was stolen as well with everyones mail in it). And now I start getting phishing mail with large checks made out to me, which I have not been stupid enough to cash, and then this call. Report this to your local law enforcement. Get a report number if this happens to you. Also contact FBI and Federal Trade Commission.

A very, very verbally abusive man calls and harrasses me, when I ask for him to send documentation on the issue he is referring to, he yells louder.  I just hang up and ignore the calls now.

I just called them 3 times to a very interesting reception. First they only answer the phone as hello, I everytime had to ask why they were calling, the first time he asked if I was still interested in an auto loan, I said no and he hung up, then called back just to see if that was normal (and to harrass them) and asked if it was normal to hang up on people, the guy I talked to this time advised me that I had already called 3 times today and they have removed my phone number already (I never once gave out my number or name and surely didnt call from my phone) and to please stop calling them, I said "Wait I am only calling because I asked if it was normal for you to call people and when they return your calls to hang up on them?", His response was "I am sorry it wont happen again SUCK MINE" and he then hung up. Now just for fun I called back and asked them if that was a normal business practice and the response was that he was very sorry and wouldnt happen again and that they wouldn't call anymore...sounds like a fun place to work if it wasnt in either India or the Phillipeans...and they work for USA Financial, isnt that intersting

I can't believe that that happened to you, that sounds very familiar with something that happened to me. I will be sure to tell your story to my friends and have them call to see if they can get a similar response.  Keep fighting the good fight

I recently have had this happen to me! In the beginning i was soooo nervous and scared!  After reading more about this i have used a lot of the tips you all have given me and am moving forward.  thanks for not letting me get screwed by these people!

I received a phone call from this number...they should really learn how to speak english cuz I couldn't understand him and I hung up on him. He hasn't called me back yet lol..I hope he doesn't...I'm glad I found this site...I'm blonde can you tell
