Called twice    partial message captured by voice mail   Poorly worded English via digital speaking voice (aka someone typed it in and a computer produced the words)  Threatening message was  "lawsuit filed on your name.  Before we go with legal matter and send to local court house please call..646-844-2993  I repeat it 646-844-2993"      Clearly a bogus call.  Don't fall for it !!!

Just the exact same phony phone message. As if the political calls aren't enough!!

I keep getting the same call.... A few times today. Called 646-844-2993 with the same lawsuit BS!

Same here threatened my wife with an IRS lien. I love chatting with these guys. Never giving them what they want but go along with the script. Blue screen, what ever it is. I'll even act it out for them, keep them on the line as long as possible. Then drop the hammer on them and tell them you're a cyber security expert and your currently tracking the call location. They hang up and stop calling!! It's kind of fun giving them a little payback.....

Company saying it's the IRS and they have filed a lawsuit and the police are coming.

had two calls threatening that if i don't call back they'll file the paperwork in my local courthouse. thank you for others noting their experience on this site so I know it's a scam and i definitely won't be calling back

I got the call from 646-844-2993 twice yesterday and once today saying there is lawsuit filed against me I should call 646-844-2993 before they file the lawsuit with the local court house.

Keeps calling every day

reporting number 646-844-2993 called 3/2/16 and 3/3/16 the same as all of the above.

Thank you guys for sharing your experience. I got a call from this same number four times while I was at work so I was not able to even answered. Until I called back and some guy with an accent said "IRS Agency, May I have your first and last name" I told him that he should know my name since he called and then he hung up. I didn't even listen to the voicemails but immediately i had to look the number up. IRS does not make calls. Specially if you know that you do not owe anything to them and they send letters to you first before anything.
