Phone Scam. You will get a phone call from "The government" They will refer you to this number to "collect" your money.

I can confirm what the other person said. I have heard about these $7,000 free government grant scams, but this is the first time they have called me. They trick people into paying a fee to get access to the money. Greed has blinded many people and I hope it doesn't happen to you. Please report the number they used to call you and the number they give you to call to the FTC @ 1-888-382-1222.

They used a robo-dialer to call me so anyone can report them.

I called these scammers a number of times this afternoon. One thing that works well is if you can use a cellphone and then block their number. You can call and call them but they won't be able to call you back.

I did get a call from them a little while ago. Some childish guy with a thick accent who thought he could make me mad by insulting me and saying "F**k you" over and over as fast as he could. When he did that he sounded like a chicken and when I told him that, he laughed. So I laughed as well. I tried to explain to him he was hurting people but he said he didn't care. So I explained that their calls were being reported to the FTC and he also didn't care. That may change when he is arrested, fined, or at least loses his job when the operation is shut down.
