I received a call from a Dominic Miller with The Federal Crime and Detention Department. Also a call from Gary Boyd (lawyer) bar# 207 (9096665130)that if I don't pay this money that i will be arrested at work and have 3 federal charges against me. They couldn't give me a date when I took out the payday loan from Sonic Loans, how much the loan was for or what account it was deposited into. I looked up Gary Boyd as a lawyer and his bar # and the only thing I could get up was that he was dead. I contacted my county district attorney and she said it is a scam.

Same call and name also said sending cops to work!Believe this is scam no info could be given

Of course it's a scam. Debt is a civil matter, not a criminal one, so the tale of impending arrest is specious. The notion that a *Federal* agency would be involved at all is ridiculous, as is the hilariously non-existent "Federal Crime and Detention Department".

so how do i go about finding out how to deal with this scam? he calls me asking for a large amount money to pay off a loan? and says he will call the police officer and have me arrested for a felony charge?

I received a call yesterday from this number stating it was a serious matter and that a testament was filed against me. The name he went under was James Anderson and he had an Indian(India accent). He stated if he did not hear back from me, he would contact employment and references. I deleted the message. Today at 12:27pm, I received same call from him for same reason, but what scares me is the fact that he has my social security number which was stated in the message.

Stop worrying - they're scammers calling from India.  No one is going to arrest you.  I would print out this page to give to your Human Resources department or manager at work if they call you there.  You're not the only one being harassed by these scammers.  

You may want to put fraud alerts on your bank accounts and also with the three credit agencies (Experian, Equifax and TransUnion).  Also report the calls to the FTC and the FBI - they may not be able to do anything since these callers are not in the US, but by reporting them you can help other people who also receive these calls.

Call from David Jones (Hey, hey I'm a monkey) with a thick Indian accent.  Total scam.  Laugh at them, report them but most importantly, give them NOTHING

I just received a call from a guy "named" David Peters. I get a call like this at least once a month. I talked to HR and Legal of my company and they are aware of the calls. The number has been blocked at my job and I ignore them when they call my cell. Don't fall for it. They get your info from other companies that sell your info. The only way they win is if you provide them with any information.

Call you attorney general and report them!!
