The guy was trying to sell some out of court settlement because there is a legal case going against me without my knowledge. Called got dropped in the middle.

His voicemail is John. Has indian or pakistani accent. I talked to my police department and advised to lodge complaint if the caller is trying to fraudulently scare on fake charges. I will go after him likely.

Scammer calls with a Spanish accent, claiming to be "Jack Robinson" with the crime investigation dept about charges against the person they're calling.

I got this fake call too from "J Williams".  Sounds like a foreign accent.  Said that there were some charges against me. When I realized that this guy sounds phony I said that I would report him to the FBI and the DA's office. And he threatened that he will have some police officers at my door.

Received a call from this number, at first was speaking in english then went on to speak in Gujarati (Indian language) and threathened that we didn't pay our taxes and will have us arrested. Also threathened to have police officers at our front door within a half hour. This guy completely scared my parents needs to pay for his actions. He can seriosuly hurt someone by going about his ways. For anyone that gets a call from this, do not provide any confidential information (i.e. social, credit card number, etc.)

Got call from 626-929-4626 and he left message that I am calling from Crime investigation department
you shall call me back at 646-929-4626 else .... I had to listen the recorded message 4 times to get the telephone number.

OMG - ditto issue - the caller identifies himself from Crime Invesstigation Department that a case of federal allecation is filed against my name.  The caller left a vmail - and he sounded more asian - chinese or southeast asian accent - not indian or pakistani accent in vmail.  when i called this number back the guy started abusing me without saying a hello and said that he is going to take legal action against me or something - in a rage.  i hung up.  obviously a fraud case.

I got the same call and figured it out while during the conversation that it is a fraud. I asked the lady for her name, designation, her company tax-id number and complete mailing address. They hanged up. I was totally freaking out so i gave them a call. This time a guy picked and he was speaking in totally foreign accent and was acting smart. I told him that he is a fraud company and i am going to report to FBI. He said that hecan provide me the FBI number. When i asked for it, he hanged up. I called FBI and they transferred me to Federal Trade Commission and filed complain against them.

yes, we got a similar call. he is asian and started abusing when we asked him to provide details. definitely a fraud. planning to report to the police.

This guy called and said he was Detective John Martin from NYPD.  He has such a strong middle eastern accent I could barely understand him.  He wanted me to send him $3000 in WalMart money grams to make 3 federal charges go away.  I messed with him for awhile until he finally told me to go F**k myself and hung up.

These guys are very un-professional and spammers. They claim to be related to the government. Prey of worst kind.

Can't some one prosecute them for making such false claims?

I received a call from 646-929-4626 posing that he is calling from Crown Prosecution and police is going to arrest me for some revenue issue as I not responding to Revenue Department. On asking what is the issue he is talking about, he avoiding by saying police is going to arrest you. I informed my local police and they asked me to just ignore it.

They are complete frauds and I think deployed by bigger frauds to reach some legal settlements which they can't by legal means- these are bullying tactics- Police should track them down and find out who are the real people behind them and find out their motives.

Please identify the caller from 646.929.4626 who is posing as office in Crown Prosecution Department and threatening to arrest without explaining the reasons for arrest. Despite asking the reasons, he kept repeating threats of arrest. Call came at 9.52 am of November 8, 2013.

Please help to track the people behind this racket.

nd,he left massage to my secretary with name jack robinson, when I called he identified himself as john martin criminal insvestigater ,some filed complein aganinst me, I have to listen to him to solve problem.i did not respond to his threat,and hang up.

The secretary got a "massage"? Hot Dang! Beats my Friday night! Jackie Robinson? Not the big "42"?

I just got a call at 9:11 am on nov 19 from officer Jack Robinson or so he claims from crime investigation department about some legal action against my husband and if we do not call him back at 646-929-4626 he will have to take legal action. PBS spoke with such a heavy accent I had to listen to the message at least 4-5 times to get the number and understand what he was saying. He sound more like from South America . I have caller Id and  the number that appeared on the phone log was 713-510-4570. 713 is an area code from Texas . The number he said to call him back on is 646 which is New York. In any case sounds like a scam. I am not calling him back.

Got a call from one Mike Johnson identifying himself as an "Officer" in the "Crime Investigation" department. Alerted me to legal proceedings against me and threatened to proceed with the "invastegashun" if I did not call back. Left a call back number 646-929-4626. Quite an awful accent. Thought it must have been a fraud call. Thanks to every one's posts on line, it was confirmed. I did try to call back but it went to voice mail and I did not bother to try again.

Got a call from this number (646-929-4626) yesterday on 11/20 around 9:20 am and was threatened by these men multiple times who stated they were going to arrest my father. Please, please do not answer any calls from this number. These men should be arrested for harassing people and their personal lives.

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

I got a call at 10:25am  pst  on 11/21 from a guy name like  Alex monte on my voice mail saying he has a legal case againt  me etc. asked me to call back. I did endup calling but got his voice mail. After reading these link,  i think i should ignore any call from this number 646 929 4626.
