- David C| 4 repliesI received a call (computer voiced female) from this number telling me to turn myself into the police, or call a Sargent Harrison in New York re a complaint. This was a minor variation on a call I received last week which asked that I do the same thing to a similarly named person, except in Washington state. Don't really know folks at either place. The prior call from 206-257-7084 had a number of scam comments on it when I looked it up. This is probably another of the scams relating to "IRS" calls trying to get personal information.

- wandangel| 1 replyReceived recorded call, female voice, stating her name as Det. Jones (I guess a little better than Jane Doe or Jane Smith...lol) and advising me that I "need to surrender" myself to my closest police department or call back at 646-934-8432 and speak with John Harris. I don't think so. I am not wanted by any police department anywhere. I thought California had all the weirdos, but I guess they have their share in NY also! She ended the call with "Have a blessed day", like that would make everything just saying that. Weird!
- Caller: NY Police Department (?!)
- mohammedcall me 10.4am with a recorded voice,we are from deputy police dept., your name have crime list . Go nearest police office. After 10 minute I call back , they replied , We are IRS , You owe money.

- Dennis Parr| 2 repliesGot the same call, showed as +1911 on my phone, went to voice mail. Was voice of a guy who sound like he was from India, said he was Deputy James Conner with the Walworth County Sherriff's Department (county which I live) and he was working with a Michael Black from New York on a federal complaint for me and I should go to nearest police department and surrender myself. Or call 646-934-8432 can talk to Mr. Black and if I didn't call in the next 30 minutes he would be forced to send a police office with a sworn arrest warrant to my place of work to take me into custody. I called the Walworth County Sherriff's department and they have no Deputy James Conner. Total scam, but still is very disturbing to get a voice mail like this.
- Caller: Walworth County Sherriff's Department

- marksame as above, but they spoofed Johnston county sheriffs dept on nc, turn myself in or pay irs fine os 2991. they are getting irs info. this was my return amount. IRS has been hacked. beware, they want you to go get cash and wire them the fine amount. i told him the sheriffs were good friends and then he hung up on me.

- TonyWGot the same message in Alabama on 2-12-15. I don't respond to suspicious calls and this was definitely one of those. Really weird. I suggest you don't call this number back either but I am not sure what the scam is exactly. I think would of the commentors is dead on. Sounds like the IRS has been hacked.

- CWG40 replies to wandangelThe calls originate in either India or Pakistan and they spoof local numbers. They are basically trying to scare you into paying them something. The fools who make these calls do not understand the American justice or federal system so the pump out a lot of disconnected legal mumbo-jumbo in order to scare people. Been going on awhile.
- CWG40 replies to Dennis ParrThe call is absurd on its face. What law enforcement agency calls you up and tells you to turn yourself in? Illogical nonsense!
- SLWhitereceived this call.. guy with heavy East Indian accent tells me I'm going to be arrested within 20 minutes related to some IRS debt from 2011!!

- kehi| 2 repliesIn February 2015, received a recorded call from Deputy Jones[female voice] with the NY State Police Department, informing me, that a complaint was filed on my name by John Harris, who works with the Federal Crime Prevention Network Service. It tells me to surrender to the nearest Police Department or call John Harris at 646 9348432.
In December 2014, I received a call from a man claiming to be detective James Howard informing me that he intercepted a package addressed to me, that contained illegal drugs. When I asked him if this was a prank call, he assured me it was not, that he could arrest me and that some arrests had already been made, said he would be at my house in 10 minutes [ he did not show of course,] to show me the package. The local Police Department had no Detective by that name. They had not heard of a scam like this. He asked questions, seemed to know my name, and wanted to know if I was a senior citizen, and shortened conversation upon hearing a voice in the background. We could not figure out how this scam was intended to work.
