Got a call, didn't answer, no message left.

i got a call from 647-253-0294
they called me twice but sec time i answered the call and they told me that they are calling regarding a radio survey but i gave all my mail address and my name they told me that they gona send me the mail its regarding the survey and theyre conducting and i am a business student i thought that i think this mail would help me but when i saw this number on scam list m shocked donno what they gona do with my details :(

I made the same mistake like omer.

This number calls and shows up on my call display as "SIP dialer." I never pick up calls from unfamiliar numbers, so I've never spoken to any nitwit, and I plan to keep on keepin' on.

I have my home and cell numbers on the stupid Do Not Call list, but obviously that's useless.

It must be that time of year- I too have gotten a call from this number, and when I don't recognize the area code (I don't even call anyone long distance in Canada or elsewhere) I refuse to answer. I'd also like to warn people that yes, it DOES come up 'SIP DIALER' for both this phone number as well as 416-445-9800, and this number also tried to call me today!! Can't these people respect our privacy when we're on a Do Not Call registry list and leave us the HELL alone??!! :(  I can't even block these numbers because my blocked call list with SHAW is full!

So what is the scam?  They told me my house was ineligible because we also have a land line.

Survey Company.  Has called me dozens of times with hangups perviously.

It's BBM Canada, they do radio surveys, they send you a package in the mail to fill out and send back, regarding which radio stations you listen to. They do it every 6 months and they also sent me $2 for my efforts lol, it's totally harmless.

Received two calls from this number. Added number on 'block telephone number' list.

Really Angela so your part of the scam too I guess. What's your last name and phone number? Scamming people is inhuman and wrong. No body believe this [***] she's part of the scam!

i answered the that 416 number something about radio, then i said nope not interested. so its the same people as the 647 number that called 3 times yesterday. so much for im not interested.

Got calls from BBM 6472630294 almost every other days for last two months. Not answered but no message. I don't answer any calls from numbers I don't know. Wish they stop calling with no answer.

Have you ever wondered how radio and television stations find out who's listening to or watching their programs? In Canada, they rely on BBM to provide them with this information.

We use several different methods of collecting the ratings data. Twice a year we conduct surveys, contacting thousands of people across Canada. We send them paper diaries to fill out and keep track of their viewing or listening and mail back to us. We also use electronic meters in a carefully selected panel of homes.

BBM Canada, they're relentless and very entitled - they will call you every six months, at lunch, in the evenings, on the weekends, over and over, until you answer the phone. When you try to point out that you're on the do not call list and didn't sign up to receive their calls, they go on a spiel about how they're a very large and very old organization and how the do not call list doesn't apply to them and how you'll be doing the world a favor by letting them collect the statistics that they can later sell to broadcast corporations.

Basically, either block them altogether or just pick up, say you're not interested and hang up. Easy to identify - they seem to always call from the same number and call display says "BBM CANADA".

P.S. They're the same jerks that tried suing BlackBerry over the use of "BBM" trademark, as if anyone would be confusing an instant messenger platform with a broadcasting corporation surveying lapdog company.

shill.  BBM is nothing more than a pathetic excuse for a telemarketer hiding behind the label of "Survey company" so they are exempt from the do not call list.  Well let me tell you something Mr. BBM Shill, I know enough about the CRTC  and the Do Not Call List to keep you so busy responding to complaints that you won't have time to hassle anyone.

they might be exempt from the DNCL based on the fact they call themselves a survey company but... according to the CRTC, they are still bound by the section of the regulations regarding the use of auto-dialers
