I called back and got a Scotia Bank recording......obviously some telemarketing....

Same here - called on my cell phone but won't leave message. I didn't bother to answer or to call back. If it is really from some telemarketers for from Scotia Bank, they will also be calling from 416-8478742 which showed up on my cell phone a couple of times per week.

I just got a call from this number.  I called back and it said it was from Scotia life Financial, TELEMARKETER

This number has been showing up almost daily.  I really wish they would stop as I work shift work and it wakes me up.

I get this number on my call display from time to time.  Seriously is it Scotia bank?  We bank with Scotia bank.  A question though, is 647 a real area code? Why would a real bank trying to sell something real use a spooked area code?

647 is a new (relatively) area code for Toronto.

In my case it was ScotiaLife Financial following up on a mail-out they did in September for Accidental Death Insurance.

They asked for my parents and they do not speak english!
I asked them if it was urgent and they said no.

rec'd call and dead air...not impressed.

Called from the 416-8478742 number four times in one week. I asked them to not call back. Then someone else called from this number and left a "hello? Hello?" message. Making my week guys, thanks a lot.

you have account in scotia that's why they calling you. I hate this bank I empty my bank account, I transfer to other bank and  i make a note no telemarketing

i also received calls from this number almost every other day. i have been ignoring this call as well and they just dont get the point

they just called me again this 647-288-3808 number and keep ignoring the call but i guess it dont help cause they just would keep calling its getting annoying.

They keep calling from this and that 416-847-8742 number even after I told Scotiabank I'm on the Do Not Call Registry......hmmm I'm filing a complaint for both of them.

I keep getting these calls from random numbers. I always let unknown numbers go to voicemail because if it's important, they will leave a message.

Every time I look the odd numbers up these days, someone says it's been on behalf of Scotiabank. I'm not even the customer with our Scotia account, it's my husband. How annoying!

Scotiabank is the worst for Telemarketing.
I have even resorted to being a b**ch with them & yet they keep calling!!

Yes they did it again on this number and 5 mins ago the 604-664-2442 number and i dont even bank with them and most likely wont now that they pull this crap lose my number a holes.

Thank-you call blocking on my panasonic phone. These guys call 6-10x's a week
